When I first read the topic, I thought this was concerning gameplay, prior to the recent patch. After reading through, I have to agree with Lanezy. Personally, I haven't been playing Gears 2 much, but the weapons seem to be a little more balanced than Gears 1.I don't think it's fair to say the multiplayer is broken because you get chainsawed a lot. The fact is that in every multiplayer game there is always something people complain about, but with Gears the problems are amplified because there's more emphasis on teamwork and you don't get to instantly respond.
While I'll admit that I'm not to keen on the changes they made from the original, I'd never say it's broken though.

I am having a hard time finding time for gaming, with just a job and a girlfriend. If or when I ever decide to have a kid, I can't imagine how I will have time. I love gaming, but I do have weekly dry spells from time to time; so I'm not sure of my gaming future. I do enjoy every moment and I hope I never stop.
Another issue with growing out of gaming, is your real-life friends. Just in original XBOX days, I had 10+ friends on LIVE. Now, only two still have a LIVE account, and they barely get online. This is a big disappointment. Luckily, I have found a good, small community/website to use to do gaming nights. I feel this is a big issue with people appropriating their hobbies to another issue.
Then stop reading about all the pre-order bonus'. I can't imagine living life, looking at all the things I am not getting when I buy something... it'd drive me crazy.
When I buy a game, I just buy the game and play it. I am not worried that someone else has a better version than me. I did that when I was about 5 years old, with my toys, but I grew out of it. IMO getting mad or stock piling games for months is probably not the way to go.
As you get older you'll see there are more important things than who has better toys. ;)

Well said Hawkeye.
Simply put, no. Look at almost everything that is bought and sold. Any physical good, excluding consumables, is bought and sold new&used. Wouldn't you hate it if you could only buy new cars?
I do tend to trade games, but I don't care to buy used games. Personally, I would rather spend $5 more to get a brand new game.
