@Barighm: Team Slayer and SWAT playlists should’ve been available from day 1. I like objective-based game types but only when I have a full squad. Most randos just run around for kills and ignore the objective and on top of that, don’t communicate at all.
@Ph00p: agreed. And it seems like most people have voice chat disabled or they just aren’t communicating. Isn’t slayer already a possible game type on all of the maps in the ranked playlist? Seems like it would be pretty easy to have ranked slayer for now, even if it is limited to those 4 or 5 maps.
@jjmy137900: I laughed at that too. Challenging platforming fans more than your average Mario game at the time? Maybe I’ve played DKC so many times that it’s become pretty easy, I still think the last few stages in Super Mario World are harder than any stage in DKC.
@ya_got_me: UN Squadron is so good but I feel like not many people know about it. Except for missing the arcade version’s 2p mode, I think the SNES version is the better game of the two and it deserves more recognition than it gets.
@xnshd: definitely agree with this. Almost all games run between 120-144fps on my rig. 30 has become an eyesore and gives me headaches. I wish I could be like other people and not be sensitive to framerates, but 30 is less than 25% of what I’m used to. If these people are used to playing at 30, would they be comfortable with 6 or 7fps? I don’t think so lol.
@Atzenkiller: how hard can it be to give both options though? A lot of PS4 Pro supported games give you the option between higher performance or higher graphics. Can it really be so hard? You’ve been able to change the graphics quality on PC to suit your hardware, essentially since PC gaming has existed. Can it not be done on consoles?
@atopp399: agreed.. Why couldn’t we get this on the PS4 Pro? Surely the Pro was capable of this for some of its exclusives. Yet, Uncharted 4 and Horizon ZD were both locked at 30, and GoW ran somewhere around 45fps. Now I’m a PC gamer primarily and am spoiled by 144fps, but come on, it’s 2019. 30fps is unacceptable at this point. 60fps should be the bare minimum, especially if you’re pumping out higher-powered “Pro” and “X” consoles.
@silv3rst0rm: you are absolutely correct. My PC with an Intel i7 9th gen and RTX 2070 (not the strongest rig, I’m aware) is capable (at very high / max graphics settings depending on game) of doing about 120-144 frames in 1080p, 90 frames in 1440p, and about 50-60 frames in 4K. Now the PS5 is still a couple years out, but no way will it be running AAA titles in 4K at 120fps. We’ll be lucky to get 4K at 60 frames. The fact that even the PS4 Pro still ran most of its games in 1080p locked at 30fps is an indication of the PS5’s capabilities.
@perphektxero: good to know. My friend and I were thinking about getting back into it, but knowing that things are kinda the same, I think we'll stick with FF14
