My issue with DLC isn't always the cost. When I think of great DLC I think of the GTA4 expansions, I think of the Fallout 3 DLC, and SOME of the Mass Effect 2 DLC. Most of these were pretty expensive but not only were they worth it, they weren't less than 3 hours long and they didn't come out the same month the game came out. For me I enjoy DLC several weeks and months after a game came out because that brings the game back for me. I don't want DLC, or even free DLC, immediately after launch just because I want to experience the full and original game as it is. EA lately has been giving free DLC instantly at launch for new copy buyers which makes me upset even though I'm getting it for free. If DLC is available at launch I really wouldn't mind a 2 week delay just to add it to the core experience. For me it just gives me a bad vibe to see DLC so early when I haven't even enjoyed the entire game yet.
I hate these comparisons, who honestly cares what version to buy, if I'm buying a game that I know I am going to enjoy, an I going to say "Wait!!!! I don't know which one looks better yet! Let's wait a week to find out..." PC graphics are always going to be better but to get those graphics you need to upgrade your PC several times and then eventually buy a new one, which can get expensive. Any way, I buy my games for consoles just because thats the way I play, I dont look at the graphics because I am one of the handful of gamers who don't care at all about graphics or the console war, I care only for gameplay and story... I own an xbox 360 and I am very happy that the PS3 is gaining success and are coming out with amazing exclusives....
