During his time at EA, John Riccitiello's salary was $800,000 a year (and that's not including stock options). His tenure also marked the era of "always online" - a poor attempt to dissuade users from pirating.
His statement is right. It's just ironic coming from the former CEO of Electronic Arts.
I love some of the ridiculous comments about this game: "I love the fighting but I hate the grind". So, you want to just be max level? Any RPG is a "grind" since you need to quest/fight to level up.
You want a true grind look at Diablo 3. All you do in that game is run around and kill stuff. That's it. There's maybe 3 dozen quests in the whole game. And no PvP...at all, let alone a PvP battleground which the author of this review mentioned as a deterrant to TERA. Yet Diablo 3, even with servers shutting down every other day and an auction house that occasionally works, and still not as originally planned, gets a higher review than this game.
@roarboarz I completely agree. Everyone that has played the beta for TERA and D3 will tell you TERA is by far the better game. Yet the review for TERA, being a non-blizzard game will be low, while D3 will end up with at least 9.0 or higher. Completely ridiculous.
