@I_can_haz: It didn't need to win awards, i've played all of those games and saw them with my own eyes and they're all pretty similar as far as consoles are concerned, BF3 on PC however destroys them all.
And for the umpteenth time just because i'm not a drooling moron who worships Sony like you and your kind does not make me a lemming.
I assumed the new gen was going to barely overpower my aging 580, but I checked and it turns out the only advantage the new GPUs have over mine is a boost to Anti Aliasing. That's all well and good, but I am a bit disappointed. I'm still excited about the new consoles, but it's a shame I won't see a significant graphical improvement. Or will I? You always hear about how consoles are more efficient etc. .
Yours and my 580 are going to struggle with next gen games. Hell my 580 couldn't max Bioshock Infinite.
My HD 6850 (which I believe is slightly weaker than the GTX 580) had no problems running BioShock Infinite with maxed-out settings. Maybe the problem might be with your CPU or RAM?
Its running at stock. I hit the max pre-set and the frames were cut in half.
Bioshock Infinite used to have a certain stuttering bug, which made the game unplayable for me, even on an OC'd 670 GTX. A few months ago, it was finally brought under control, but even now, there's still some light stuttering in some places.
580 GTX should be able to max out Infinite at 1080p, maybe it was that bug you were experiencing?
I get that same stuttering (very minor mind) with Bioshock Infinite with my 780, even though Fraps is showing a psolid 60 fps.
@b-apples: What account are you trying to verify? I was able to verify my test accounts last night using the new link.
Snugenz is the account in question, i click the resend verification link, get the mail but the link in the mail just leads back to the gamespot homepage, and i'm still unable to log into my Snugenz account.
