Andrew Park said "But I have to admit, I'm even more intrigued by the fact that the new game will be the first official debut of the Beatles' extensive library in official, digitally distributed form." This is correct only if they release downloadable songs, or the full game is downloadable from say, the PSN store. If you buy the game on physical media, what is on the disc is digital information, but so is music on a CD unless I am mistaken.
An interesting read on the integration of general music and rhythm games. Keep up the good work. Just picked up Rock Band myself, and I have to say that drumming is taking a bit of getting used to!
Extremely indepth and informative article. Well done Laura. It would be nice to see the games industry get the funding that the film industry does. A suggestion to all developers in Autralia; have open days where you invite university students who are undertaking these courses, or even high school students, to your studio. Spend a day showing them what goes on, how you work as a team, what is required of everybody, and show them your passion. Perhaps this idea could be forwarded to the GDAA, to then be presented to its members.
While I feel I don't have time to invest in MMO's, I'm glad this feature was created. More stuff like this is much appreciated, outside of the normal reviews and previews that Gamespot cover.
