The Rest of my Lists - Part 2 (Nintendo Handhelds)

Hey again

Welcome to another of my final blogs, where I will post more gaming Top Lists. As stated in part 1, I've decided to do a simple version of each list since I don't have time to make the bigger blogs anymore.

Here's a link to the previous blog, which has links to the first four lists, and two new ones (Top 30 Wii and Top 10 WiiWare)

Today I am writing two more: Top 20 GameBoy/Color/Advance Games and Top 20 Nintendo DS Games. And unlike the Wii games, these are not so fresh in my memory so my comments may be inaccurate but the lists are done since some time ago and very well-thought.

---

My Top 20 GameBoy/Color/Advance Games:

#20. Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones Boxshot
Reason: Although I wouldn't have played it if it wasn't for the ambassador program, I can't help but to like the story and characters, and the easy gameplay at least in the first chapters.

#19. Yoshi Topsy-Turvy Yoshi Topsy-Turvy Boxshot
Reason: One of few games that used the tilt function, and did it very well. Good graphics and sound also stand out.

#18. Pokemon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire Pokemon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire Boxshot
Reason: Fun pinball game with lots of Pokemon elements.

#17. Metroid: Zero Mission Metroid: Zero Mission Boxshot
Reason: Excellent presentation, exciting adventure.

#16. F-Zero: Maximum Velocity F-Zero: Maximum Velocity Boxshot
Reason: Not the best F-Zero, but it gets the job done.

#15. The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap Boxshot
Reason: I only played part of it and found it extraordinary. Seriously, it has potential to be my favorite Zelda game.

#14. Mario vs. Donkey Kong Mario vs. Donkey Kong Boxshot
Reason: Mario, DK, great design, clever puzzles, epic music and sound effects.

#13. Yu-Gi-Oh! Worldwide Edition: Stairway to the Destined Duel Yu-Gi-Oh! Worldwide Edition: Stairway to the Destined Duel Boxshot
Reason: Pure Yu-Gi-Oh fun, mostly a well designed and addictive game.

#12. Mario Tennis (GBC) Mario Tennis Boxshot
Reason: Sort of a sports RPG game with hours of fun, likeable characters and deep gameplay.

#11. Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land Kirby: Nightmare in Dream Land Boxshot
Reason: Easy, but brilliant title featuring everything that makes Kirby so amazing.

#10. Wario Land 4 Wario Land 4 Boxshot
Reason: Extremely fun, funny and smashing game =)

#09. Mario Kart: Super Circuit Mario Kart: Super Circuit Boxshot
Reason: It's Mario Kart, it has several cups to master and always offers a challenge in higher difficulties. Perhaps it lacks a bit in the control.

#08. F-Zero: GP Legend F-Zero: GP Legend Boxshot
Reason: Fine story mode, cool characters and the intense races this series is known for. Everything works perfectly to make it my favorite FZ title.
Note: I was wrong in the SNES list, the case where F-Zero beats Mario Kart is not so rare:P

#07. Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald Pokemon Ruby Version BoxshotPokemon Sapphire Version BoxshotPokemon Emerald Version Boxshot
Reason: Good story, improved graphics, new Pokemon and new features that make it hard to stop playing.

#06. WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! WarioWare, Inc.: Mega Microgame$! Boxshot
Reason: Tons of content, with the most basic mechanics and a touch of humor in each of the awesome characters and games, plus some incredible endless and multiplayer games.

#05. Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga Boxshot
Reason: First Mario RPG on a handheld, superb story and gameplay overall, keeps you busy for a while.

#04. Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 Boxshot
Reason: A portable Yoshi's Island plus the original Mario Bros. and some extras, lots of adorable Yoshis and many well-designed levels.

#03. Metroid Fusion Metroid Fusion Boxshot
Reason: It's a masterpiece. From the memorable story, stages and boss fights, to what I think is the best Samus design ever.

#02. Pokemon Gold/Silver/Crystal Pokemon Gold Version BoxshotPokemon Silver Version BoxshotPokemon Crystal Version Boxshot
Reason: Deep role-playing experience, lots of creatures to level up, enemies to defeat and areas to explore, I could go on, but the most important thing is that they're incredibly fun.

#01. Pokemon Red/Blue/Yellow Pokemon Red Version BoxshotPokemon Blue Version BoxshotPokemon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition Boxshot
Reason: See above. And add originality, epic music, most of the best Pokemon and gym leaders, all for the first time in the Game Boy .

NOTE: As a last minute decision, I put together the 3 Pokemon games of each generation because they aren't much different after all and were taking too much space in the top ten, but my favorite versions are Yellow, Crystal and Ruby.
