I for one welcome the 'change'
The presence of an actual competetive third party keeps prices low and competition up, especially when you consider that as we see more an more of the really awesome games go multi platform, (COD4, GTA4) a console like the Wii which is harder to develop games cross platform and really doesn have the power or the graphics to carry these hard hitters means that there will be a reason for game prices to be kept lower as well. 'Core' gamers are the ultimate consumers and the presence of the very fickle casual market being sucked in by the latest gimmic means that we can get a win in the wallet department for once.
