Top 3 wanted games for the year...

Yes, as the title reads, this is a list of the top three games for this year, for me... This is, of course, more than these three that I will be getting, but these are my top 3.

1. Far Cry 2

I played the first Far Cry game and absolutly loved it, it was just so fun and I had a great time with it. Everything that I have seen on this game, shows pure excellence. The graphics are phenominal, the physics are great, its an open-world FPS, and so much more. This is one of those, do anything, go anywhere games, but whats makes it unique is that it is an FPS, 50KM map. Africa is brought alive in this living, breathing world. This game could be the surprise of the year, and this is why it is my "most-wanted" game for 2008.

2. Gears of War 2

This... should I say, Epic game, is coming this November. It is the sequel to one of the Xbox 360's best games of the past. it had the best graphics to date, for consoles, and it dominated the market then, but that was then. Now, with monster games like Halo 3 and Grand Theft Auto 4, it will have a challange to retake its crown of the best Xbox 360 game. Will it do it? I think so, with additions in every aspect, from graphics to physics, this game just might, be the best Xbox 360 game to-date.

3. Tom Clancy's EndWar

Yes, you are probably thinking to yourself right now... What the hell?!?! But yes, this is my third pick. For one, I love Tom Clancy games and Ubisoft, but also this game could completely change console RTS's in a good way. Adding excellent voice commands this could be the switch for console RTS's. One of my friends that works for Ubisoft was given an demo for the game and he said that it is just amazing. The controls are spot-on and it is actually fun to use the controls. So yes, this is one of my "most wanted" games of 2008.

Honorable Mentions

Fable 2

Prince of Persia

Resistance 2

LittleBigPlanet

Guitar Hero: World Tour

The Dark Knight review....

I would first like to say, GO SEE THIS MOVIE, it will not disappoint, also this review is spoiler-free.

I set out on an adventure yesterday to watch The Dark Knight in imax, but when I got to the theater, I discovered that all of the tickets were sold out. I was greatly saddened, yet still determined to see this movie. So by the grace of God this guy comes up to me and is like, I heard you need tickets, and he sold them to me at regular price! I was so happy, he could have easily charged me double and I still would have payed it, but anyway I took my seat in the imax, very happy at this point.

Go see this movie for me, will you guys? Trust me on this, this movie will not disappoint. Coming into the movie I was expecting an action fest and not much more, but it was not only that but so much more. Most movies have highs and lows, but this movie only had highs, there was not one dull point in this movie, every scene was done so well. This movie is 2 hours and 32 minutes, but still, there is not one dull scene throughout the entirety of this film. Christopher Nolan has delevered yet another fantastic movie, adding to the list of this indie film maker. Maybe he will begin to get noticed now after making great movies such as Batman Beings, The Dark Knight, The Prestige, and Memento. All of which are considered AAA movies. He deserves every penny that he will earn from this film, it is just that great.

Christian Bale has matured very well as Batman and he is the best Batman so-far, but there is no comparison to Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker, it is Oscar-worthy. It is sad to see him go (RIP), but he went out with a bang, as his role in this movie is so tremendous, that it shapes this movie. In my opinion, he did a better job than Jack Nicholson, that is how perfect this role was for him.

This movie was not only a great action movie, but it also showed us why we need heroes. This movie will surprise you and leave you speechless, all I can really say is this, go see it for yourself.

Score- 10 out of 10

Just a short a sweet blog... (About E3)

Well this will be a short blog, but still I wanted to post it. As everyone knows, E3 is coming up, less than a week away. So I am going to list some of the things that I am hopeful for, anticipating, and also not wanting...

The Hopeful:
- Alan Wake release date. This game has been shown-off so many times by Microsoft, now is the time for them to unleash it to compete with Sony. This would be very good timing for them.
- Assassins Creed 2 information. I know this is very, very doubtful but I would still like to hear something about it, even if it was just a teaser trailer.

The Anticipated
- Bungie announcement. I don't know what it is, most likely a Marathon game or a new Halo, but the folks over at Bungie have gotten me excited with the new strange themes and such with the little plumber guy.
- GoW3 teaser trailer. I have a feeling that Sony will show this, because they usually show games months and years before they actually release. So if the game was slated for next year, now would be the time to a teaser trailer.

The Not Wanted
- Xbox 360 motion controller. It has been rumored for awhile and I am almost positive that Microsoft is making this and if they are, then they will show it at E3. I hope they don't release this because I don't think that it will be that great and it will just be another gimmick like the 360 camera thing.

Well, that is about all that I have for today. I just cannot wait for E3, I have a feeling that it is going to be an amazing time for all of the companies, mostly Sony and Microsoft, I don't think Nintendo will show that much. Thanks for reading, comments will be appreciated.

P.S. I got my third free game, Far Cry: Instincts, from Goozex, I strongly suggest that you check it out, it is not a scam and requires little to no effort. PM if you want the link and more info.

Three more games to complete a life-time collection goal...

So, a few years back, I made a goal to have every Tom Clancy game in my personal collection, but the hard part is, I can't order any off of the Internet, I have to find them all in-store or somewhere like that. This makes it really hard for those peculiar titles like Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear: Urban Operations for the PC. Yesterday I got a step closer to my collection goal by buying Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Desert Siege, at a flea market, i got it brand new for a really cheap price, I was really happy, to say the least. The games that I still need are the following:

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Rogue Spear: Urban Operations (PC)

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Athena Sword (PC)

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Lone Wolf (PS)

Those are the only games that I have left until I finish my collection goal and can move on to a new goal! I hope I find these sometimes soon, but it will be really hard because as I said before, all of these titles are very peculiar. I will update every time I get a new one and such. Thanks for reading my blog, please leave me comments on how I can improve and all that good stuff.

P.S... I just ordered my third free game from Goozex! I still haven't had to pay for one of these, I am very happy and I strongly recommend using this site, PM if you have any questions.

Get a free game (No lie and easy to get)

Well, I won't lie. When I first heard about this trading site called Goozex, I was a litttle skeptical. I thought it was for sure a scam and I was going to be screwed over, but I deciced to do it anyway because I was going to get a free game. So I signed up on the site and ordered my game, not hoping for much, but when I went to my mailbox today, I was greeted with a surprise.

I got my game and it was in perfect condition, no problems with it at all, and I was happy, to say the least. I am just posting this blog right now because I want other people to feel the same joy that I did in actually getting a free game, all you have to do is sign up at the link below and follow the instructions. If you have any questions at all, feel free to ask away.

Gaming Update...

Well hey guys, I am here to do my daily update on all things gaming...

Collection Update:

I finally got my games that I ordered from Goozex today, I got both of them for free. If you would like to know how to also get some games for free then just drop me a comment or message me.

Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30 (Xbox)

The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay (Xbox)

I got both of these games for free and they were both in great condition, WOW, I love all-things free :).

I also went by GameStop, armed with coupons in hand and my Edge card, I was ready to buy me some games, which in the end, was kind of a let-down. The GameStop by my house is running out of games, I have most everything that they offer, which is quite sad to say the least.

Second Sight (Xbox, $.99)

007 Everything or Nothing (Xbox, $.99)

NBA 2k6 (Xbox 360, $3.99)

KOTOR (Xbox, $3.99)

Out of those, I am most excited about KOTOR, I have heard great things about that game and I am ready to play it for myself. I will post my opinion on the game in a later blog, but I am definitely looking forward to this game...

Gaming News:

Halo 4 already in the works at Bungie? http://sarcasticgamer.com/wp/index.php/2008/07/source-halo-4-is-already-in-development.html

All I have to say is this... Was this even a surprise? I mean they made like $200 million in the first week so a new halo game was bound to happen, but Bungie, please take all the time that you need. Don't rush this game, invest in it and make it the best that it could possibly be. Improve the Campaign great, make the MP even better, and just make this game better.

Video of the Day:

http://www.gametrailers.com/player/usermovies/235898.html

I cannot wait for Resident Evil 5, this game is going to be AMAZING! Sorry if this trailer is old, I just came across it yesterday. I don't know how I missed it earlier. (It didn't work embeded, so I just linked it, sorry for the inconvenice)

Well, that is all I have for today, please leave me comments about how I can make my blog better and stuff.

Battlefield: Bad Company First Impressions....

I picked up this game roughly 5 days ago and was ready for a revolutionary experience, because that is what Dice said they would deliver to us with innovation in the destruction. I started off by playing the Single Player to get a feel for the controls before I headed off to the Multiplayer. One of my first impressions about this game was that it isn't that revolutionary, awesome none-the-less. I really love this game and I believe that Dice did a fantastic job on this game. Could they have done better? Sure, but what they offered us gamers was great enough for me. The singleplayer was a great experience with good humor mixed in, but I was ready to move onto the multiplayer.

Battlefield: Bad Company

In my first match of the multiplayer I got raped and felt helpless, I thought that everyone was a lot better than I was. It took me a few games to get into the zone, and once I did, I started doing better and better every game. The multiplayer is great fun with huge maps and a fun game mode. All of the vehicles in this game are great. The MP so far, is some of the best MP that any game has offered, and I love it...

So far, I love Battlefield: Bad Company and think that it is a great game. It has the best sound from any game that I have ever played and is really fun. It not only has an enjoyable Multiplayer, but the Singleplayer is also fun and doesn't seem like an afterthought. If you don't have this game yet, I strongly suggest that you pick this up and try it for yourself. I have a feeling that you won't be disappointed.
