@MooncalfReviews Believe it or not, big companies do actually make an effort to improve their community, because they are a part of it. It's not always some evil marketing team thinking up ways they can get the public to.. I dunno, forget about how their BF4 game crashes every so often.
@kattamuuran @bassplayer55 I've rarely been interested in the story or characters of GTA games... I guess for me it's all about the fun of the open world, cool missions, and going on epic crime sprees.
But yeah, if you want to root for a character, sounds like maybe this isn't going to be your favourite game. I've only played for an hour so I can't really say first hand.
@xavor01 Because you've played the game extensively since it's 12am release last night and you know it's perfect, right? How about this: **** off with your idiot comments instead.
@SambaLele In fact, I think it'd be irresponsible for Rockstar to bring any morality into their main characters. You shouldn't be thinking, "Oh, this character is murdering thousands of people, but he's doing this for his family. He's really a good guy deep down, let's root for him!" To fit the world of GTA V, everything and every person needs to be absurd. It may be uncomfortable, but I think that's what Rockstar intends.
GTA's world is about the ugliness of society wrapped in satire. The relationships between men and women are included in that package. The game is knocked for misogyny, while ultra-violence raises far less issue?
Well-written review though. I agree with the score!
