#1: (Drum Roll...)

I've seen this movie probably around 27 times now, and I understand there are numerous flaws that should not be overlooked. But there are also some things that were AMAZING that also should not be overlooked.

It's been stated to death, but Heath Ledger's rendition of the Joker will never be forgotten and for good reason. The dark, twisted lines and unique, chilling mannerisms of the man "who laughs" are forever imbedded in my mind. Sequels to comic book movies need great villains, and this movie hit that on the nail, and is the new standard for great villainy in cinema.

Christian Bale has another great, but not Oscar winning performance as a conflicted super hero struggling to find his way. Michael Caine stole the show though in these lines and he successfully captured the reason why Batman IS the best superhero of all time:

"Endure, Master Wayne. Take it. They'll hate you for it, but that's the point of Batman, he can be the outcast. He can make the choice that no one else can make, the right choice."

This movie has multiple memorable quotes and many memorable scenes, and the excitement this movie brings on the first viewinghas yet to be matched by any movie I've ever seen.

I was more impressed with my first viewing of this movie than any other movie I've ever seen. To this day, the interrogation scene gives me chills.

There's not much else to say about this cl@ssic otherthen that everyone of my generation will NEVER EVER forget this movie. Or how they felt after those credits rolled...
