Favorite albums: honorable mentions pt. 1 of 3

Basically, name the album, show artwork, point out my favorite tracks and briefly explain why I like the CD.

* indicates my favorite song off the album

Siamese Dream:

"Cherub Rock"

"Today"

*"Disarm"

Good enjoyable and talented alternative. Can't go wrong with any song on this CD.

Deja Entendu:

"Sic Transit Gloria...Glory Fades"

"The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows"

*"The BoyWho Blocked His Own Shot"

Every song is good. Head and shoulders above everyone else in the "emo" crowd.

Children 18:3:

"All My Balloons"

"Who They Are"

*"Homemade Valentine"

Their own type of punk. And they have positive undertones in their lyrics. Solid.

We Will Overcome

"A Proclamation"

"Arms Raised"

*"Song for the Broken"(I LOVE this song so much!)

A Christian A Day to Remember. Fast paced hardcore music. It's great.

The Unveiling:

"Lift the Veil"

"A Scar Filled Sky"(Lyrics are hanging up on my wall)

*"Penetrate, Illuminate"

To be honest, I don't know why I like these guys more than most hardcore bands. But I actually really like the lead singer's voice

For Those Who Have Heart:

"The Plot to Bomb the Panhandle"

"You Should Have Killed Me When You Had the Chance"

*"Monument"

Pop-mosh. Win.

Enema of the State:

"What's My Age Again"

"Dysentery Gary"

"Going Away to College"

*"Adam's Song"

Immature pop-punk from my favorite band. Adam's Song, however, showed their true alternative prowess.
