I'll give a brief explanation for each song choice. Hope you guys enjoy!
:)
10. "Jumper" - Third Eye Blind - My brother would listen to blink and this band. This song is the same to me as it was back then, and I will always cherish it. The lyrics are incredible as well.
9. "If It Means A Lot to You" - A Day to Remember - I love acoustic tracks, and this is one of my favorites easily. The guy/girl duet is incredible, and the lyrics so much of my almost fling it almost makes me cry. Great song!
8. "Danger: Wildman" - The Devil Wears Prada - Incredible lyrics, great intensity, and one of the few core songs that I could listen to all day. Love it.
7. "You're Not Alone" - Saosin - This song, and Adam's Song, were really crucial for me Sophomore year when I was mildly considering suicide. This song, in some ways, changed my life! And it still changes me every day! Cuz guess what...? You're not alone!
:)
6. "They Don't Care About Us" - Michael Jackson - I love Michael Jackson, and this is my favorite song by him. My favorite part is the mention of MLKJr. And the percussion throughout is amazing...
5. "Son of the Morning" - Oh, Sleeper - Greatest lyrical idea ever (think Screwtape Letters), and incredible guitar play throughout. The chorus is awesome as well! This song encourages me every time I listen to it!
:)
4. "Composure" - August Burns Red - This is the defining metalcore song for me. Everything I love about the genre, plus some incredible and inspiring lyrics. Love this song greatly.
3. "There Is" - Box Car Racer - Gives me hope every time I listen to it that 'she' won't "care if I don't know what to say..." etc. Inspiring and quite an emotional tune for me! Describes my romantic endeavors to a tee!

2. "Always" - blink 182 - A place I dream to be with a girl someday, it honestly gives me hope concering my romantic endeavors. If "There Is" is the place I'm at now, "Always" is the place that I eventually wanna get. Primarily the chorus and not so much the verses though. Relatable song nonetheless.

1. "Stay Together for the Kids" - blink 182 - My nephew does NOT have a good mom. He lives with my brother most of the time and he misses his momma. His momma, however, is also apart of a family that is broken because of DIVORCE. These cycles happen all the time, and I honestly $%&ing hate it. My nephew will suffer because of it and it's not $%ing right. Just like the song says. This is the most heart-wrenching song I know, and I love it and I sing it at the top of my lungs every time I hear it. I myself am not in a divorced family, but so many people I know have been destroyed by divorce. And my favorite band wrote a song about it, which is not a popular thing to do to say the least.
I LOVE this song to death.
