Naraku has captured Rin and lures Sesshomaru to his castle. He has Kohaku look after Rin away at the castle. Naraku battles Sesshomaru in an intermediate demon form as he plans to fuse Sesshomaru into his body by receiving enough damage to his body for the fusion to occur. Meanwhile, Inuyasha has caught Naraku's scent and cuts through his barrier by using the Red Tetsusaiga. Kagura and a pack of demons try to hold off Inuyasha, but to no avail.
