Episode 15 - The Pursuers

Episode 15 - The Pursuers

Chrno recognizes the demon as DeFaux, a Pursuer. DeFaux steps forward and tells them that they have a common enemy, Aion, and promoses that they work together. Back at the Order, Sister Kate asks her superiors if it will be all right to work with DeFaux. She tells them that it will be a favorable alliance and they owe it not only to DeFaux but to Chrno as well. The superiors are not entirely convinced.

Back at Satella's retreat, Rosette tells Azmaria that Sister Kate called and that the decision is up to them. As Chrno is sitting in front of the fire, Satella asks what Pandamonium's head is. Chrno tells her that the one who fell from Heaven is called Pandamonium. He says that Aion wanted to change the world, since humans needed demons to understand virtue. After Aion ripped off Pandamonium's head, he tried to destroy it. DeFaux tried to kill Aion and his followers, but Chrno jumps in front of him and steals Pandamonium's head. DeFaux then gives the order to destroy all of the Legion.

Back at the Order, the Elder gives three sisters some more Gospels to give to Rosette. He has designed special gun magazines for them. The sisters agree to carry out the mission. Meanwhile, Rosette, Chrno, and Azmaria go to meet DeFaux and his followers. At the meeting, another car pulls up, and Giriam, the leader of the Order on the West Coast, arrives with more equipment for her to use. He tells them that the Order will follow their decision.

At Aion's house, he goes into the basement and inspects his scientist's work. She shows him a three dimensional diagram and Aion realizes that his dream to make Heaven Earth and Earth Heaven can happen. All he is waiting for now is Chrno and Rosette. As Joshua is heading back to his room, Jenai mocks him because he is human. He attacks Joshua, but Aion protects him. Meanwhile, Chrno tells DeFaux that Aion would often say he would be the Creator and DeFaux realizes that Aion is trying to destroy the world. Rosette wants to enter into an alliance with him, but Satella tells her that if she does, she is no different from the devil worshippers. Rosette holds up her watch and tells her that it is different.

As they are making the agreement, DeFaux calls her Mary Magdalene. Rosette asks him what he means and he says that all the demons know her by that name. He also tells her that a mark will be created on her body, one that will protect her. Back at Satella's retreat, Rosette tells Satella that demons are the best source of information, which is why she entered into that agreement. Rosette goes off to take a bath and finds herself bleeding from her wrist. The wound is in the shape of a cross, the sign that DeFaux was referring to.
