The major networks and others are increasingly starting to use the summer season to their advantage.  No more is it just a time when everything goes into reruns until fall lifts us out of the TV summer doldrums.  New shows are premiered to see if they'll turn out strong enough to move to the must-see Fall and Spring seasons and old favorites, like Entourage, return.
