@mbiogirl: Yeah, I think the problem is announcing them & starting the hype train too early.

I'll always prefer a delayed polished game to one that's released on time & full of bugs but publishers can avoid the problem by simply not giving a date that they have to change. Far Cry Primal looks about right - they didn't show the game or even talk about it until they had a good vertical slice & it's probably only a few months away from launch. I much prefer that to the development cycle of The Division or Quantum Break which have changed so much since the initial announcement that any hype generated from the initial idea will likely turn to disappointment.

@Gamer_4_Fun: I'm looking at buying a new G-Sync 1440P IPS monitor which retails at about US$800. High quality panels cost money, people shouldn't be surprised at the cost of the Rift. Plus everyone knows that there's early adopter tax for first gen tech.

Hey @dannyodwyer, looking forward to the rebooted Lobby. Good to see you're acknowledging & trying to avoid the click-bait type stuff & focus on what the community actually wants.

It would be cool to see some Youtube guests & community members bringing the "new media" feel to the show while still keeping a bit of "old media" professionalism & structure. TotalBiscuit's Co-Optional Podcast often has some great critique & interesting conversations but also goes off on tangents where they talk about British candy for half an hour. That's fine for that show but I'd like to see The Lobby stay on games a bit more.

There are plenty of idiots & trolls in the community as Feedbackula showcased but there are also tonnes of intelligent people with interesting & divergent opinions so it will be cool to celebrate & nurture the good parts of the community. Best of luck.

@jenovaschilld: Screw wider audiences, they should double down & get more of the mature audience. It pulls me out of the experience when I see people getting beaten & sliced with no blood.

That said, I'm still looking forward to this film. It's good to see them taking the risk of tackling some darker subject matter, even if they're not going all the way. Perhaps the success of Deadpool will define whether or not future comic movies are willing to risk higher ratings.

@gorillasmoothie: Finding an interesting experiment & trying to relate it back to a game? Yeah, shoulda gone more specific - wearing clothes to boost stats is like every RPG ever.

@rlg5150: My point is that zero lag is literally impossible.

Zero perceivable lag maybe?

I don't see many gamers using the display for kill counts or any other in-game stats. Ideally you should be able to game without having to take your eyes off the screen. Looking down to the keyboard is one thing but looking to the mouse just seems like it would be awkward. Setting up or switching between macros is something that doesn't really need a display on the mouse for either. An E-sports logo might be cool but since it's static, seems like it could be printed for a lot cheaper. Plus it has a "swappable" cover for different designs anyway.

CPI beyond what you'll ever need to use & RGB colours are pretty standard fare now. I'm not sure how 1ms response time = zero lag. Shouldn't zero milliseconds equal zero lag? Maybe they should use "near zero" in their marketing. Tactile alerts could be the most interesting thing about this mouse. If the 'rumble' is subtle enough not to put you off your shot, then it could be utilised to let you know when you're being shot or all sorts of other uses that controllers have. Perhaps this little piece of innovation could be picked up by the rest of the industry if it catches on.

Best = most people looked at it. Hmm there's some kind of slut-shaming celebrity joke in there...

I find it interesting that The Witcher 3 wasn't number 1 on many people's favourite list (only Danny) but they still recognised it as the best game of the year.

Personally I loved Witcher & I think it deserves all the success it gets. I think the dark, serious theme makes it less 'fun' to jump into than, say, Rocket League but it's a brilliant game that succeeds in so many areas & pushes the industry forward; it's still my favourite game this year.
