ok i just wated a whole evening trying to get this working and no luck. I am defo waiting for a patch or perhaps I'll send it the game back. I used to enjoy (in a sadistic way) trying to install/uninstall drivers and games and troubleshooting the ins and outs of Windows back in the day - but I have not got that sort of time and willing any more. Most games (apart from STALKER) have worked perfectly for me in recent years. I have been playing Far Cry 2 for the last week with no probs what so ever. This Fallout 3 is really a shoddy effort.
man this is one of the worst ever games for tech issues. Such a disapointment. I solved my little problem by Alt Tabbing in and out of the game. I had to do that around 5 times while I was in the vault..and then as I was aproaching the last vault door the game CTD!
Help please has anyone else had this problem? My game arrived today. I installed it and as soon as the game starts ie new game goes through the intro and in to the game and then all i can hear is audio but the display is just blank/black.
I have tried running the game on diffeent res and different settings - high and low but no difference. I always have to ctrl/alt/del out of the game.
my spec: pentium dual core e1280 @2GHz - 2GB Ram - Nvidia 7950GT 512MB with 178.24 Drivers
