I've had my PS3 for almost 3 years. Never any problems whatsoever.

I updated my PS3 to 3.30, restarted, and now it will not read any kind of disc.

Sorry but I find that hard to believe that it is just a "coincidence"

Ive turned my ps3 on and off thousands of times, but the one time it breaks is immediately after an update. . .

I've been reading a lot of forums and people are having this same problem with the fat 60gb ps3 (same as mine)

My 60gb fat ps3 does not read any kind of disc after installing the 3.30 update.

I installed the mandatory update, restarted my ps3, and now it does not read discs (I tried ps3, ps2, dvd, cd, and blu-ray)

I called Sony (800-345-SONY) and they said it was a coincidence and all I can do is pay them $150 to send mine in and get a refurbished one.

I've never had any problems with it for almost 3 years, and they said that it coincidentally broke the exact same time I restarted my ps3, immediately following the 3.30 update. That seems a little impossible to me.

Anyone else having this problem?
