The Avatar boards are down now. Someone has speculated that they are testing new software for their submissions, but if THAT were true, how come other boards work just fine?

What reason would moderators have to shut down an entire board? A computer virus wouldn't be that discriminating when it eats away at a server (I'm no expert, but an educated guess).
