You are definitely man handling your controllers. I've had 4 PS controls for every system since 1 and never had a single issue. You want to make sure the sticks are neutral when turning any system on as well. If you turn it on and then while it's booting up you start playing with the sticks, you will have issues.

Game awards, like gaming sites *cough*, enable bad practices and give validity to the industry; among a plethora of other things. In other words, it's all a big circle jerk.

Who would want a streaming service where you don't own the games you paid for? Not a rational person.

It's called user error. Had you left your ps in standby mode both it and your games would be automatically downloaded and installed.
