Hockey may not be a mainstream sport anymore but its not dead. Hockey was losing popularity before the strike and then the strike jumpstarted the process, but like someone said earlier there is still a fairly large group that enjoys watching and following it.
During the last series against the red sox A-Rod appeared to elbow Pedroia while trying to break up a double play. None of the sox wanted to make a big deal out of it, besides Pedroia, but its another example of A-Rod using cheap tactics. Theres nothing wrong with a hard slide but when you use your arms to push a fielder out of the way its crossing the line.
This story never seems to pick up. They throw in plot twists here or there but the story never goes anywhere. I was actually pretty disappointed with Star Ocean after all the positve reviews people gave it.
This suspension pretty much gives the game and probably the series to the Spurs. As good as Nash is i cant see the suns winning without Amare and they need game 5 to win the series. Way to go David Stern, you managed to rig the playoffs.
Darius Washington, shooting free throws, with the Memphis Tigers' season on the line. He was a freshman back then, and he still gets asked about this all the time.

When i saw this thread i instantly thought of Washington missing those free throws.
ive always wondered if anyone else felt the same way as me about that. Between the second basemen and ss getting the phantom tags at second and all close plays going to the fielding team baseball can be frustrating at times. But as you said everyone gets away with it so what can you do.
New Jersey is sitting at first place in the Atlantic Division, so he gets fired?!
There must be something going on that the public doesn't know about... Oh well. This distraction for the Devils might be just what the Penguins need to regain first place.

I would hope so. That or the GM wants to be credited with coaching a team to a Stanley Cup. I think this is the second year in a row, or at least the second time, that he's fired the head coach just before the playoffs and took over coaching duties himself.

im glad that im not the only one who felt this game was way overhyped. I hated the battle system in this game and the story was terrible. there are so many rpgs i would play over this.

I didnt realize that, but if thats the case they better draft a rb and not place all their bets on Green. I cant see him being an everydown back anymore.
