Vista is not really the issue, it is SP1 that is the issue. If I uninstall SP1 then the media center connects fine but as soon as I install SP1 I am unable to connect.

Can anyone confirm that thy have media sharing working with SP1 and if so was there anything that they had to do to get it working?

thanks.

I have done everything suggested here. I can connect to my media centre using other computers and can see that the PS3 is connecting to the media server as there is a corresponding MAC address of an unknown device visible in the media player media sharing window. I have also allowed this device but still unable to find any media servers on the PS3.

Any help would be greatyl appreciated as I do not want to roll back to SP1.

Thanks

I too am having the same issue. I have done everything suggested here but was not totally sure what was meant by:

"1. make sure you define folders in WMP11 that you want to share. "

Can someone please clarify, thanks.
