i found a Prescott P4 Cpu. HERE.

Honestly? that right there, is most likely the best you'll get. Prescott being an improvement over the north-wood core..I don't know of that older Intel chip set supports Prescottt or not though.

That motherboard has AGP 8X, so any Video card in With that Bus Will fit.

As for the Ram, It only supports the older DDR400 Format, not the new DDR2. Also, the cpu you're looking at is, i believe, a socket 775 LGA (Land Grid Array) Cpu. Meaning it wont fit onto you're new Socket 478 Motherboard.

I did a little search on newegg for you, if you're looking for a socket 478 Processor, this is the best you're gonna get for that older socket. Its a Pentium 4 2.8 GHZ Northwood, fully suported by that asus MB.

To be honest, Motherboards these days, that i know of any way, don't even have the required amount of buffer to run a video card at the full x16 bus speed. Although Im sure in time it will, you have a fairly decent motherboard, i'd stick with it for now.

Like the above poster mentions, with 64 bit, You're not guaranteed compatibility. In the 64 Bit version, of ANY OS, be it Linux or windows (with the exception of Mac OS X, which is 64 bit i believe), You'll have driver, and software issues until hardware and software manufacturers start dev., specifically FOR the X86 64 bit Architecture.

If i were you, stick with 32 bit.

Agreed, Go with the BenQ, i have a BenQ 19' and it works flawlessly. I havent heard anything bad at all about "X2Gen", then again, i haven't even heard OF them.

 I'd stick with the BenQ.
