I can still remember the time I got an invite to the Nintendo Switch Hands-On Premiere Event back at the beginning of 2017 at Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith London. After the long coach journey from Newcastle to London, arrived at around 1:30 pm and waiting in line, and as soon as we got inside the Apollo their lots of Nintendo fans including some people I know were lucky and spotted Ashens from YouTube, Chandra Nair (ex-ONM editor), and Dalagonash (Nintendo UK community manager walking around at the event.
Saw the trailer during my lunch break at work, looking at the console does look pretty impressive to look much like the original Switch but a little bigger and the controls can easily be taken out and placed back in on the sides; Unlike the original Switch you had to slide them from the top to get them back in the console if you wanted to play on handheld. Just like most consoles, the Switch 2 does have backward compatibility with all physical games which is great news for many including myself because some of the games I've enjoyed playing have all been JRPG games and the Bayonetta franchise along with The World Ends With You. At the end of the trailer we did see some quick gameplay footage of Mario Kart meaning that this could be the next new Mario Kart as a possible launch title depending on when the console will launch later this year.
More information will be announced in April on a price tag, release date and what games to expect on launch day at my guess there's going to be a Mario title, maybe a Zelda title or Professor Layton, Persona 3 Reload, EA Sports FC and a Just Dance title on launch day; I was trying to guess on when this might be launched and when looking back at previous console releases like the PlayStation 2, Nintendo Wii, DS, Xbox and the PSP all released around by the November and Holiday month just in time for Christmas when it comes to sales for both retail and online stores. This is just my guess on when the system could be released and my guess on a price tag along could be at around £350 or £400 likely more with the extra controller and a game to go with it.
I am quite interested in the Switch 2 as much as I love my Nintendo Switch for more of a handheld more than a console have played most games on handheld while watching a film or DVD on my TV. Looking forward to see what Nintendo has up their sleeves on their next console.
