1- Bayonetta 3 (Switch)

One of the many reasons why I bought a Nintendo Switch back in 2018 after hearing the announcement of Bayonetta 3 in development and also Bayonetta 2 made its way to the Nintendo Switch along with the first game. I was really hyped about the next game in the series yes, there was some news before the yes on different voice actors for the third where Hellena Taylor was replaced Jennifer Hale after a pay dispute; This didn't bother me in the slightest mainly because I was more hyped about the gameplay since both Bayonetta games really did surprise me on combat controls and knowing what was going to happen next in the next level. As you fight your way through the streets of Tokyo, the mountains of China, and many other locales! Along the way you’ll meet a virtual coven of Bayonettas, each more fabulous than the last. You’ll also slash and slay as Viola, a feisty witch in training who fights with a sword and a capricious companion, the demon Cheshire.

The graphics and visuals really did shine brightest on the Nintendo Switch and with it being developed by Platinum Games you know you'll be in for a fun ride if you've played their past games outside of the Bayonetta franchise. A few of the levels sort of did remind me of the CGI visuals when buildings were turned into different shapes or go vertical if you've seen the film Doctor Strange on the visual effects used in the film along with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. The later levels had many different elements sort of borrowing elements from popular franchises like Lupin the Third and a few nods from Capcom early games, especially the first Devil May Cry which was released over 20 years ago. I clearly don't want to give too much away when it comes to the main story, especially towards the ending which may shock a few people out there; Another thing I enjoyed about Bayonetta was the soundtrack not only taking a nod to Frank Sinatra, it's the battle music I found really catchy, especially "Gh()st" which I just kept head banging during the random battles at certain levels.

No matter the difficulty or even the challenges along the way I just kept coming back for more. I would say that you may want to play the first two games before jumping into the third game if you want to get a clear idea on the main story, but I would still highly recommend the series if you haven't had the chance yet. I am curious about where the series will go next a prequel has already been announced being Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon for a Spring release.
