BEAT COD4 in one day!!!

Once again, I'm late, I know:p But yeah, it was good. Really good actually. Loved everything about this game, nothing about it disappointed me, other than the fact that my laptop kept on overheating (lol) and would sometimes shutdown in the middle of the game. But yeah, the story, the musical score, the voice acting and, of course, the graphics were all incredibly well done. I wish I had been part of the Infinity Ward team that made this, I would have felt like I had really accomplished something. Admittedly, the story was a little blown out of proportion at times (I mean, terrorists having access to nuclear warheads that can kill 41 million Americans in the next ten minutes?? come on), and the game did kinda seem a little racist towards people of Middle Eastern background (just shut up and play the game before you argue), but it was still well-done. Could've been longer though lol... a lot longer, seeing as how I beat it all in one day:p Solid 9.5/10 from me.

BTW, I returned Sins of a Solar Empire.... hard to say if it was good or not, since I didn't get past the extremely boring tutorial, but from what I did get to play, it just didn't seem like my kind of game....

So I'm almost done w/ MGS2

I'm at the part where E.E. (still never caught on to why exactly she wanted to be named Emma) dies, and I've gotta say THIS GAME IS FREAKING AWESOME. Well, then again, most Metal Gear titles are. Sucks though that I played MGS3 first before coming over to this game, because I still that MGS3 is better, but MGS2 is still a great game in itself. Let's see, I have $40 saved for a PS3:( I think it's still gonna take a while for me to get the system so I can play MGSIV.... Anyone wanna help me out by giving me free money? No? Ok.

Oh and I beat GoW II btw (that's God of War, not Gears of War, I can bet you that people are bound to get those confused in the future). Great game, can't wait for the next release. Really short though, I'll tell you that, but it is hands down the sequel to the first GoW that everyone expected it to be.

God of War II

So I was playing God of War II today and got to the part where you go to the Phoenix sculpture that shoots these annoying waves of fire at you and you have to make it to the other side of the sculpture by grappling onto a hook that can only be activated by stepping on a stone, as most things in God of War are. It made sense then, but now that I look back on it, HOW THE HECK did I miss the huge, imposing statue at the start of it all. I tried going it alone (since the statue didn't catch my eye) and failed.... miserably. Silly me. I tried everything in the book too, including outrunning the fire waves (which failed miserably as well). I guess what I learned from it all is that it's not just about brainwork when one comes upon annoying puzzles in video games. Having an observant eye helps as well.

Oh, and this is my first blog post. Hoorah.
