yep, the wii is just too kidy, too wimpy, not hardcore at all, thats why i sold my wii and all its games for a 360, and god damn am i happy!! Gears of War FTW!!! >.Mr-Silter

I seriously hope this post is not serious or else you are another so called 'HARDCORE" gamer who only likes games with blood and gore and language and HD and all that crap. I would choose the wii for mario Galaxy alone, yeah i am a big Mario Galaxy fan.

I never played Suber Mario Galaxy, but Super Mario Galaxy is one of the finest video games I've ever played.meinink2y

I wholeheartedly agree.

[QUOTE="betsyfay"]

[QUOTE="radicalplace"]Well I disliked for other reasons. I felt Galaxy was really untrue to 3D mario games.Niff_T

how was it untrue? it seems l9ike people hate inovation, hate when things stay the sme, and hate both, I dont get it. I loved mario Galaxy and i realy do not see why people could not love its ingeinous levil desigh and gameplay. people are just never satsified.

oh and online does not make a game better.

Normally I'd make a rude comment and laugh at how much denial you're in, but I thought I'd make this logical.

I really depends on the game. SMG would not benefit from any online that I can think of, so in that case you a correct.

However, you're wrong when it comes to a game like SSBB. Sure the single-player has been tweaked, but it starts to drag near the end and doesn't leave much incentive for multiple playthroughs. Combine that with the fact that you can only face off against CPU's for so long... (some people longer that others)... This makes the online addition to brawl much welcomed. It adds tons of replay value and lets people with no friends in the immediate area capable to brawling with other people.

Now if you can't see how that makes SSBB that much better then go to an eye doctor, cause you are blind...

Actually It is just my opinion. I would not mind less lag and more online options but I seriously do not feel like hearing some whiny 12 year old kids. if you think I am in denial, then whatever, but That does not change how I feel.

And for everyones information I have pretty high standerds for video games and Galaxy surpassed mine. I think it did deserve its spot and still does. There is a thing I like to call obsessive fan syndrom. This can apply to many things like movies video games aand such. people often hype things to unrealistic expectations and wants seem to become expectations. it happens with many big franchises like star Wars, lord of the Rings, halo, metroid, legend of zelda, Smash Bros, and mario. I think people should just calm down sometimes. We do not always get what we want, and in video games we rarely if ever get exactly what we want. if you spend to much time with what is not there, then you might miss a ton of great stuff that is there.

I like the innovation and the evolution but what it really lacked was the openness of the levels. This really annoyed me. I loved Mario levels for being open but in SMG your limited to certain planets depending on what star you choose. I would have rather been allowed to go to any planet I want. Missions were also very short compared to previous ones. The HUD wasn't very detailed either. Peach's castle and Delfino Plaza were very interesting places and had little secret levels here and there. There are no secret levels in Rosalina's space ship with the exception of the Green stars but they weren't very secret.

to me it felt like more of the 2D ones. I felt that it did have some open ended levils two though. I liked the hud and the way it worked, but I do not play mario games for huds, I also loved the setting and it did not give me a hedache like delfino plaza.

[QUOTE="Lord_Omikron666"]They're the n00bs who only think they're "hardcore" because they play M rated games. MY definition of a hardcore gamer is anyone who isn't a casual gamer, they play games seriously and whatnot.jsurfer200

Exactly! Most people who describe themselfs as hardcore play nothing but FPS titles (usually M rated) cause they think its cool. The kind of people who reject new and creative games and ideas thinking it is not cool, and the kind of person who refuse to even try older games cause of the graphics and because they think it sounds stupid.

A very wise friend of mine (link) once said that a true gamer is the kinda person who enjoys a game like some people enjoy wine. They look at the game for what it is, and not what others belive it to be and who can appreciate many diffrent types of games.

There are a lot of good FPS out there for the X-Box and PS3. But there are a lot of equally good (if not better) games for the wii and older consoles. Games like The Secret of Monkey Island (PC, 1990), Zelda: ALTTP, and Metroid Prime.

Anyone who says that a wii does not apply to their "hardcore gaming needs" is probably joking or an idiot you don't need to be listining too.

very good post. And Link is wise, one of my childhood heroes, along with mario, and samus aran (heroin).

[QUOTE="ZzZEVOLUTIONZzZ"][QUOTE="radicalplace"][QUOTE="ZzZEVOLUTIONZzZ"][QUOTE="radicalplace"]

Don't bold and make your text bigger, its annoying. Also he said WW is second only to WW, which is true by review scores.

Also TP is the worst game in the Zelda series apart from AoL (Adventure of Link). He obviously has played TP and not liked it as much as previous Zelda titles, like most.

Burninator3633

LoL gamespot gives you the option to use a word processor to bold your text and I am just not going to use it now cuz some lil kid whines about my text size.... get over it... And no that is not what he had said read his post over again... TP is longer then most zelda games and has better graphics controls weapons and storyline...

I know its an option, doesn't make it any less annoying. Also I made an error. I meant that he said WW was only second to OoT. And yes, he quite clearly says that.

If you love TP, thats ok, its a good game but your in the minority of Zelda fans. Also TP's storyline isn't better. Infact I believe its very untrue to the series, like alot of others.

I agree that OoT is better then wind waker but TP is was better then WW... All great games in my top games of all time... however i cant really see how that TP is "untrue" whatever that mean to the series... Every single zelda game is different.... The triforce is always there zelda is alwayz there? gorons check zoras check? It has most of the same weapons and a couple new ones which was refreshing... I dont really understand how anyone could have possibly complained about a game that stepped zelda up in every way possible.... comparing WW to TP is like comparing super mario galaxy to super mario sunshine... there just really is no comparison one is definately newer fresher and better then the other? And if i am part of a minority of zelda fans then that is fine... I would rather think for myself then follow a herd of mindless thoughtless sheep aye?

Have u ever played WW? It has better gameplay, bosses, dungeons, character, items, and a better story then TP by far.

Also ur comparison of WW and TP to sunshine and galaxy is completely backwards

This seems more like an opinion. I have played all of the 3D zelda games and I prefer twilight princess over wind waker. I liked wind waker , but twilight princess was just more my fun I preferd the storyline, gameplay, boss battles, transportation, and just found it more fun. I would not mind seeing some new things ( although I thaught twilight did offer that as well with the wolf mechanics). It seems like many fans just cannot be satisfied. One idea that I think could be interesting is to see how well techno music would do. with techno remixes of great songs, just an idea, since it worked in metroid prime. I also think it would be neet if Ganondorf had a son who at first is a good guy and dosnt know he is ganons son but then ganon munipulates him an he becomes AGHANIM( I know it might seem a bit like a star wars rip off but it was just an idea) and you have to fight him in a long epic one on one sword fight that begins at the top of the pyramid of power and goes all over the sacerd realm. And it must have link in it, and zelda, to me it just does not feel complete without these charecter. maybie they could make a DS spin off game also where you play as zelda( a good one, not those crappy CDI ones) kind of like Super princess peach. Anywhay I hope I here about it soon as well as some other games that are hopefully anounced, like starfox, maybie kid icaris, pikman 3, possibly a 2D metroid game for the DS, and more.
