I want a way to voice chat but I suspect I won't get much use out of this feature (only the odd times my friends are on). Is their official word yet if the Motion bundles will come with an upgraded Eye? I was going to buy an Eye for chat purposes and to use when Motion comes out but I don't want to buy it only to see it upgraded in the future. I could always buy the bluetooth headset instead but I'd prefer not to own both.

Any suggestions or insights? Remember I won't use chat much...

why are people so crazy about being able to play online? i just dont get it. Whats all the fuss about? it is so much more fun to play when you have a friend around. Im sorry, but only people who have absolutly no friends whatsoever would get the most out of online.nsoufiani

I suspect you are under 18 and your circle of friends are people in your city, people you go to school with etc.? I mean no offense at all by that statement, at that age it was my situation to be certain. Having online play wouldn't mean much to me then either.

I am a fair bit older now. My circle of friends now live hours, even days apart. Some have moved half way across the globe. Even those I live close to I am often unable to "play" with simply because with jobs, wives/girlfriends, kids, and hectic schedules we often only have an hour to ourselves if we're lucky.

So how nice would it be to interact with some of them online in a game like wii sports instead of just the odd phonecall or rare visits? My sister and her husband are buying one after playing my wii this weekend. I would LOVE to play them at nights after work but they live too far away. So unfortunately soon we will both own wii's, we both have online capabilities but due to lack of support for it we won't be able to actually use it as such.

Beyond just them on nights I come home from my 13 hour shifts and 2 hour commute I will have time to play an hour before bed but despite yes, having friends, I won't invite them over for one lousy hour. If it had online I would play a stranger though if no friends were online, better than nothing. But no, instead my wii will sit there unused even though I would have enjoyed it.

Please understand it's a VERY important feature to some of us. I can be patient about it but this is something they really shouldn't underestimate in this day. If it is just going to be a box for when company comes over then I will be happy with 3 or 4 games in my library and just rent the rest when I know people are coming over. If online is done right though I could end up buying countless games. I really hope nintendo doesn't drop the ball on this because I want to see them do well and support their attempt to innovate gaming. I don't want to have to buy a PS3 or xbox 360 just so I can play with my friends when I would rather be playing and supporting the wii.

I hope they aren't expecting that game to do well in the North American market! I am sure it will be a huge hit in Asia but *most* North Americans are going to be turned off by the graphics/play style of that game.

I love Koei, I even like the odd RPG, but that game has almost zero appeal to me.

I have warioware though and it doesn't get as much use as I would have hoped. Seems like everyone wants to play wii sports (mainly bowling). I'm looking for a game that can compete with wii sports for their attention...

Read my review of it

I love the game

Great review. Do you still find yourself playing it much? Also for those running games can it use up to 4 nunchuks? Can 4 players still play those games with only 2 or does each player need one?

Is Rayman worth buying or is it a rental game that you play a few times and are done with it? I have company (all adults) coming over this weekend and was thinking of buying it for them to play as it is unrentable right now in my area. Will I regret buying it later though? Basically I am curious what sort of replayability/longevity it has.

I'm not worried about the single player aspect at all. What I want is a game that company/people in my household will want to play over and over again in multiplayer mode. I currently own Wii sports and Warioware but only Wii sports fits that bill right now. Admittedly Warioware is more "fun" but I find once the people in my household and/or company go through it once it doesn't get near as much use as Wii sports. Probably because the games are so shallow they lose their appeal after a few replays.

So what are the Rayman mini-games closer to? The fun-but-shallow Warioware mini's or the longer-lasting if less fun Wii sports variety? Is it a "safe-buy" that should appeal to everyone like Wii-sports or a bit more targetted in its appeal like Warioware?

Thanks in advance for all your opinions!

Keep the wii and try to be patient. It has years ahead of it still and as more and more developers eyes light up at the sales of this console you will see a flurry of new games added next year. Eventually you will wish you still had the wii. It is so different from the xbox/PS that it will have a unique experience they can't duplicate. What my plans are is to wait on the xbox/PS war to continue. First of all its unclear which will end up the better buy at this point. Clearly the xbox is right now but don't count out the PS yet. As that war heats up and the cost of manufacturing them inevitably goes down watch for their prices to go down. Unlike the Wii those systems have lots of room to go down in price. With the wii selling like it is and the already low price tag their is little room/need to see a price drop for some time. So be patient. Keep the wii as I am sure you will end up wanting it again as more and more games are announced. Save your money and eventually you can own a wii AND a PS/Xbox for the price of buying the PS alone now once those prices drop. I guarantee a PS will just bore you soon as well. Look on the boards there and you see players complaining about the lack of games too.

Would rechargeable batteries not work just as well as the chargers? Thanks for the advice so far guys. I will hold off on those other remotes then until I decide if I wanted to purchase any of those games. I haven't ever played a GC so I do have some interest in perhaps trying some of those but I don't want to buy a bunch more controllers at this point if I don't have to.

I just purchased a Wii for the times I have company over and would like to play with friends/family. Most of the time it will be myself, my sister and her husband playing. With that in mind I purchased an extra wii-mote and nunchuck and wii play which comes with a wii-mote.

In total I have 3 wii-motes, 2 nunchuks for 3 players (typically). What else, if anything should I be purchasing? :
ie.
-Is a 3rd nunchuk useful or is that somehow unuseable/unused by the games?
-Should I purchase a clas sic controller? Should I purchase two? Should I purchase a gamecube controller or something instead? What exactly do I need those controllers for? Can I not just use the wii-mote to play Mario Bros and games like that?
-I am likely going to buy Warioware but are there any other must-haves for multi-player gaming (especially for non-gamer types)? I bought this for others in mind, when I play solo I play on my PC.

Thanks in advance.
