As someone who works in the development community, both as a developer and a writer, I'm quite disappointed with the whole firing situation. I was under the impression, especially in what Gamespot.com is supposedly known for providing (editorial "reviews" on products based from the educated opinion of the reviewer") that someone wouldn't be fired for giving their honest and accurate review of a game. How and why would a corporation allow itself to be bullied by a company that NEEDS Gamespot, not the other way around. It boggles the mind how said individual was released based on this. Again, this is all based on if the rumor mills are accurate, they seemed to be though. As an avid gamespotter, I urge Gamespot to shed light on this story, and tell us the truth.

sign for truth.

In my initial review of the game, I have to re-evaluate my opinion of the multiplayer. I initially thought it was fairly average, with no real direction. Alas, I only played if for roughly an hr in multiplayer, and after spending more time with it, its great. The multiplayer really has me coming back. Its really fun with unique design elements and great modes of play.

I can also confirm this.  I have owned 4 Samsung DVD drives, all computer based.  They have always failed at some point normally in relation to the disc read errors.  I have 2 Hitachi drives plus the 1 in my 360 and have never experienced an error that was the drives fault.  I've had errors due to dirty game discs and such, but never the drives fault.  The Kicker?  I bought my 360 at midnight the day it came out, I've never had a problem, and the actual drive responsiveness on my 360 is faster then my roommates and he has the samsung drive in his!

A lot of Best Buy locations received a bad batch of 360s.  The actual problem isn't the 360, but the OS installed on the hdd.  Microsoft silent recalled a good amount, and replaced all the hdd's in them.  I live in Indianapolis, and their wasn't a 360 to be found for roughly a week.  That was 2 weeks ago.
