[QUOTE="ChristopherM80"][QUOTE="OhSnapitz"]NG2 will not be a system seller.. BUT it will move alot more units than the previous titles on the XB/PS3 and you can quote me on that..
Also MGS is not a "household" name with games such as Halo and Mario. It will sell a few million but don't expect it to push 10 mil or anything..

People underestimate the name of MGS.. When I go to my local gamestop and just have casual conversation with customers in there, when the PS3 topic comes up, most people's response is something like "I might not want a PS3 now but when that Metal Gear solid comes out you can bet im getting one" noone WILL BUY a 360 for ninja gaiden, the game itself my sell ok to those that already own a 360 but if your thinking it will move consoles to those that dont own a 360 well.. think again.. Because MGS4 will move more consoles than Ninja Gaiden 2 will
MGS2 probably the most popular game in the series sold 2.3 million units in the U.S (check the-maigcbox.com). It most likely sold a mil or so in Japan so i'll give it 3.5-4 mil total. Halo sold 5+ million in the U.S. Halo 2 sold 6+ Million in the U.S (same site) And I won't even get into mario. So please explain to me again how MGS is a "household name"..
Metal Gear Solid 2 sold about 7 million according to wikipedia, just under Halo 2 sales-wise (8 million). I'll concede that it isn't as popular as it once was, but I would still consider it household name and system seller.
