It seems to me that most complaints are that many Wii games seem made to appeal to younger gamers. Games like Mario, which appeal to serious gamers, has a visual style that involve bright colors and somewhat 'magical' design. Ratchet and Clank games have a lot of shooting, explosions, and violence, but I wouldn't call that a mature game. I've always felt that a 'mature' game is one that has a darker, more realistic look to it, and that usually involves blood. The blood isn't necessary, it just adds to the realism.
So I was playing some pretty high end games on my new laptop (MacBook Pro running Windows) and, like an idiot I didn't think about overheating. So now I need to get it repaired. Anyway, when I get it back I want to get a cooling stand. Do they work well enough to play games, and if so, what are some recommendations?
I have heard so many people on these forums saying the Wii isn't competitive. The Wii is most definitely competitive, saleswise. The fact is that anyone who posts here is a hardcore gamer who is more attracted to Halo 3 and other such games. The Wii is trying to appeal to a broader audience (unfortunately for me) and it is working very, very well. The Wii is here to stay, for a long time.
I always like to get some reward for secret things. But if a secret takes ungodly amounts of effort and time like collecting all of that I have to fight an enemy that appears 1/100 times 100 times to get the item, I give up. I guess I'm a quitter.
FFX was one of my favorite FF games of all time. I kind of missed out on the FF games after VI and never got around to finishing VII. I loved the story and gameplay. I've played through it twice one time underleveled and one time way over leveled (2 and 1-hit kills on final bosses).
And aren't all FF protaganists emo metrosexuals? They all have bright stylized hair and awkward fitting clothing.
There will definitely be better graphics. Things like tiny details, like how dust moves in the wind or how the basketball net moves after a basket. Things you won't really notice conciously.
Someone already mentioned this but I think this will allow developers to focus more on style rather than realism. So you can make it look photo-realistic? Photos can be boring, too. Put something interesting in there that I want to be photo-realistic. Use your imaginations.
