After I saw the trailer for MK vs. DC it made me think, what is everyone's fantasy fighting game, mixing any two or more games? If you could take any characters from any game or any game publisher/franchise and recreate them to fight if they don't already?

1. Mortal Kombat vs. Street Fighter (i don't recall it being done yet)

2. Mortal Kombat vs. DC (made)

3. Metal Gear vs. Splinter Cell

4. Gears vs. some similar game

Working at the electronics counter at Target lets me see which games are popular. And MLB The Show is by far the most popular sports game for the PS3 if that helps u feel reassured or anything.beinss

yea it does, sometimes going with the crowd works. plus i'm ready to try something different anyways, and there's no way it could be worse than the 2k games i've played when i had my 360, not that I think they sucked, they were pretty good, but i'm gonna go ahead and get the show tomorrow...if my ps3 comes tomorrow like fedex says.

Just like X360 the key to having a good online experience is building a good friends list. I met a lot of cool people from these forum. Just a fyi PS3 doesn't have a HDMI cable included if you need one goto newegg or monoprice.com and pick one up. You can get a decent cable for about $5-10. I like to give people the heads up so they don't have to run out to bestbuy or something where they try to jack you $50-$100 for one. I love that the online is free for PS3 as well, I also like that it supports big games like Resistance 40 players and Warhawk 32 players. Resistance 2 is going to have 60 player matches online with teams broken up into squads.EmperorSupreme

dang 60 players? if they figured out how to do that with no lag then no game should ever lag.

Congrats on your PS3. I suggest downloading the demo of the Show 08 when you get your PS3. That will give you a good feel for it. It seems most people prefer the Show.EmperorSupreme

every site review I've read has preferred the show except 1up. they went the exact opposite way. for example, every single site said that the show has the best commentary of any baseball game ever, but then 1up said they repeat themselves way too much. I think they're just one of those stupid biased sites or something. I'll probably just download the demos though. I'm so used to 360 that I forgot ps3 offers demos too...but I don't have to pay for online!!!!!

Do you peeps think that a WNBA game would be decently successful? I'm a girl and I wouldn't mind paying like $30 for a game like that. Pretty much WNBA Live or WNBA 2K and there would only be like 3 girls who could be in the dunk contest lol.s-baller23

first of all, let me tell you that no man even knows when the wnba season starts or ends, and I'm not trying to be an a-hole or sarcastic. so that being said, no company will invest money to make a game that might sell 1,000 copies worldwide since men make up a majority of gamers, plus most females don't even like the wnba.

Okay, I ordered a ps3 online the other day and it should come in Friday. I got CoD4, which I had when I used to have a 360. Now I'm considering either mlb 08 the show, or mlb 2k8. I'm almost positive I"ll get the show, cause I've played the 2k series on 360 several times and it was okay, but it never changes cause 2ksports sucks.

My question is, is The Show more sim than 2k? I can't freaking stand having 4 guys in my lineup in a franchise with 40-75 hrs like in 2k.

can he throw that fast?

[QUOTE="wooooode"]With Beckett I threw 99.ocdog45

yea he can, he threw like 92 in 11th grade and avereaged like 18. He went to my high school.

"When Josh entered his freshman year at Spring High School, he felt he was ready for the varsity. The youngster could bring it in the high 80s" The following summer, puberty kicked in, and Josh sprouted several inches. With his growth spurt came an extra six or seven mph on his fastball.

Big-league scouts were equally impressed by Josh. At 6-4 and close to 200 pounds, the 19-year-old already had the body of major leaguer. His fastball regularly approached 100 mph, and he was willing to throw his curve and change-up anytime in the count.

Josh thrived under the pressure of increased expectations. As a sophomore at Spring High, he went 9-3 and struck out 149 hitters. His legend was just beginning to grow.

Josh topped those numbers in his junior year, going 13-2 with a 0.39 ERA. Voted the Texas 5-A High School Player of the Year, he fanned 178 in 89 innings, allowing just 31 hits and 29 walks. His performance helped earn him the nickname, "Kid Heat." Some scouts claimed he'd be the top pick in the draft, sparking rumors that he was considering going pro a year shy of graduation. Josh, however, had no interest in becoming a test case for baseball. He let the world know he would spend his senior season in a Spring uniform.

A year later, Josh cemented his status as the nation's No. 1 high school prospect with a lights-out senior campaign. Never lacking for confidence, he had the word "Phenom" stenciled on one of his jackets. He backed up his bravado with another scintillating campaign (10-1, 0.46 ERA, 155 Ks in 75.1 innings), and was selected by USA Today as the High School Pitcher of the Year.
