[QUOTE="Shensolidus"]THANK YOU! People need to remember the games we see now are the first iteration of the next gen... this about how COD2 looked compared to say, TLOU (FIrst iteration hi graphical fidelity game vs last iteration high fidelity game). Shit takes time to learn lol cod2 on pc still has better textures than the last of us.I think they've been underpowered at the start of every generation, not just this one. As people have stated and re-stated time and again, console output and PC output is not the same, not even close. Looking at what the PS3 and 360 had at their launch compared to what were PC gaming standards back then, you'll be hard pressed to say that consoles were ahead or on equal footing.
Hell, I remember when Dead Space came out and it was running 60fps on PC, 30fps on consoles and people still loved the shit out of it regardless. If anything, the lower framerate made the game more atmospheric. The years it takes to build up advanced APIs and custom libraries and shaders for consoles shouldn't be underestimated, and they do produce some strong quality games when the time comes.

Now, as for BF4 - full disclosure time; I used to work at EA and I know a bunch of guys from DICE. While I didn't work on BF4 directly (even passed on an opportunity to work on one of it's post-DLC) it was in my studio early on and I remember a ton of the discussions we had regarding the next-gen consoles. What you guys fail to realize is that DICE, which isn't as big as you think it is, is producing 5 different versions of the same game. Each version of the game has specific coding methods, two of them (PS4/XB1) DICE hadn't even gotten their dev kits until VERY late last year. And even then, those boxes have had moving targets as far as an optimization target is concerned. Top it off with having to learn the low-hanging fruit methods of how to get code to run on new systems, and you might be able to understand why things may seem a little undercooked.

gpu was a time exclusive for n64 basically lol only acouple months
n64 was the most hardcore console it had a real gpu before pc's but graphics cards released a few months after and stomped the piss out of n64.
you can get like 6gb vram graphics cards soon lol they're gonna have like 8 gb or 16gb
8gb shared between the cpu and gpu is lack of memory actually too small consoles should of atleast had 16gb
Why the **** would pc need unified memory when u can add like 256 gb of memory to a motherboard
looks better than any xboxone exclusive
They have always been behind PC's. wooooodeexcept n64 but it had ram limitation so even without graphics cards quake was still superior on pc than n64 version.
quake and unreal
other games arent skill based it's that simple just spray and pray.
