Final Fantaxy XII

OK. I'm really getting into this game, but it's starting to drive me crazy. I want to do EVERYTHING, but I can't see how there's time. Anyone out there still working on completing every part of this game, or am I engaged in a futile attempt that will involve long hours, tears of rage, and divorce?

Owned, Pwned, Pwng, etc...

Ok, I don't want to go on a rant here, but what in the HELL is up with all you guys saying things like "Owned!" and "Pwned" after you get ONE FREAKING KILL???? I mean, give me a break. The word "owned," in particular, is getting way too overused. I'm requesting a policy be made stating when it is or is not appropriate to use that word.

My idea is this: 1. You must still be alive when you say the word. 2. You must have killed at least 5 people in one round. 3. You must be the person who killed the last member of the opposing team. 4. Say it exactly ONE time, then drop it. It was one round...don't be too proud of yourself.

Now, if at the end of the match, you've killed the majority of the people the majority of the time, you can go nuts, say "Owned" 5,000,000,000 times if you want (five billion, for the mathematically impaired). Just know that everyone around you, while they might agree that they were owned, will also think you're a complete tool and will do their level best to kill you at the beginning of the next round.

At least, that's what I would do.

Big O

Managing Life and Gaming

Well, hiya! I don't have a freaking clue about what I should tell you all. They call me Big O (from American Pie, not that damn cartoon...although the "showtime!" thing is fun whenever I go on a rampage while playing Counter Strike: Source. But that's only in the gaming world. In the real world, they call me Le Mont. That's right..."The Mountain." I belong to a clan called KOD (Kings of Destruction) and we do all right, though we just got set up recently.

I'm a relatively new gamer, depending on how you look at it. I have my pops to thank for my gaming addiction. He's always been facinated by gadgets, and so we have had Pong, Atari, NES and SNES in our house. I love Pong. And, yes, I'm old enough to have played Pong with the original controler. Then there was the hiatus. It lasted for eight years! The first game I played when I came out of my retirement was Half-Life, and I was forever hooked on the FPS for computer. My console gaming didn't pick up again until January of 2005, when I got my Playstation 2. That was a good day. And I've played some GREAT games.

Lately I've been all about CS: S, but it's becoming difficult to find time to play. I've recently realized my lifelong ambition (almost destiny) is to be a teacher. Unfortunately, this means more school. Now, between school, work, and my wife, my computer and my console are gathering dust...and I don't mean the map, Dust. My clan misses me (sort of) and I miss playing online with my crew. I find some time to play on weekends no matter what, even if it makes my wife mad. I know I'm going to be a gamer for the rest of my life, but I don't relish the idea of only being able to play "on the side."

Half-Life Anthology1

Ok, I no longer have a problem.  I didn't register my game with STEAM...I'm retarded.  But it's all good now.  I've even gotten Counter-Strike Source, and I'm playing the HELL out of that!  Later!
