I thought today I would give another look at the next generation of consoles and give my opinions on them. I should point out taht I will be as unbiased as possible however I own both the xbox360 and nintendo wii but no ps3. That does not mean I don't want one, just can't fork up the dough at this time... So here we go.

First I want to talk about the xbox360, a great system with an amazing online experience, however it feels so fragile. I can't tell you how many times I have worried that my console is broken, non the less it is far more superior then the other two as far as internet and what is offered at this point. Of course they had the 1 year head start and all, but thats just good marketing. The games are also good, Gears of War really did deserve the game of the year that it won, Rainbow Six is fun, and the future is very bright for 2007 and the xbox360. However some things that I don't like are the fact that there are like 2 strong RPG's announced, also I have a problem with how loud the system actually is, when I compare it to my wii it's at least 3times as loud.

On to my other console the Nintendo Wii. A amazing experience, their is really just so much possibility here to be used, however it is not being used just yet. Sure their are a few great games (Trauma Center being my favorite right behind Zelda) but none of them really utilize what the Wii has to offer, just give it time though, I have high hopes for the future. The internet for the wii I have a mixed opinion on, on one hand it's awesome I enjoy trading friends codes, mii's, and checking the whether, but on the other I had a lot of problems just connecting to the wii. I wish they would allow wired internets to simply connect to the wii. The future looks even brighter here then the 360.

Finally the ps3, I have lots of confused opinions here, though I don't know much about its problems because I havent looked thenm up yet, or the internet. I do know that sony has always been a good console and has some amazing first party titles including final fantasy, devil may cry, metal gear solid, tekkan. So you can see why one may want to own this console..

All in all I think each of the 3 next gen systems will be a success though the ps3 may take some time to really take off. If you actually look at each consoles first party titles you will see that each has their own genre specialty and so to own the best of all the genre's you may need each system. IE:

Xbox360 : Action / Adventure / Shooter / Sports
Nintendo Wii : Party / Adventure / Sports / Simulation
Ps3 : RPG / Action / Adventure /

So for anyone who knows me its pretty easy to tell that this won't be updated constantly and really I am only doing this for those who actually value my opinion in some things. So basically today I made about 3reviews on Lego Star Wars 2, Saints Row, and NHL 07 all for the 360 and if you want you can go read those.

But what I really want to talk about here is GameInformer. They are really angering me with there nonsense reviews, the only reason I actually get there mag is because gamespot offers you a deal where you get 12months of GI, and 5% used and trade-ins for like a year so it's worth the 8dollar price. My point is however I have noticed often throughout the last few months some very poor reviews.

Like there NHL 07 review and Madden 07.. However I will admit that they have some nice previews and some games like Assassins creed and there like 10pages of new WII games look very promising, not to mention the 5pages of DMC4. Look it up if any of those sound interesting.

Sooooo....in future blogs if I do more I guess I can apologize in advance for bad spelling I don't see a spell check here, and mostly they will be about games and game mags / sites. So I that interests you check back once a week or so..
