Where do you come up with this stuff....? So maybe the fat dude had a few prostitutes. It doesn't mean he has to be a good Muslim - none of them are.

No Muslim is a good Muslim?? wat?

What, you've been saying it the whole time.

Also this thread is epic.

I know not all Muslims are bad. There are many friends of mine who are Muslim, and they don't even pray 5 times a day, or any radical stuff. Plus, most of all, they are nice to me -- and I'm Jewish! So I know they aren't all bad. I was just clarifying what MoldOnHold was saying.

Look, I'm not trying to be racist. I know now all Iranians are terrorists. I also know not all Muslims are terrorists. But, all terrorists are pretty much Muslim. Plus, we are probably going to be at war with Iran... so why would you want to play a Muslim dude who's Iranian :|

This is the same problem I had with Assasin's Creed. You play Altair... a Muslim, who kills the 'infidels'. It's ridiculous. It's almost like Ubisoft is sympathetic to the middle east.

dj_pulserfan

I lol'd my ass off. Plus if you didn't notice Assassins Creed was a differen't take on the crusades, plus above all IT"S A VIDEO GAME!

Ya, next thing you know, they will make "Bomb tha jooz" and you will want to play that too, cause it's a video game. grow up.

FUBAR24

WHAT? They aren't making it for you to be nice, they are making it for money.

I seriously doubt it. Celebrities crave attention so they'd not be anonymous.LJS9502_basic

I love it. You always throw out: "generalizations are baaad", but look at you.

No... just no.

There are terrorists of every race/religion.

Plus, we are probably going to be at war with Iran... so why would you want to play a Muslim dude who's Iranian :|

Altair has no religious allegiance.... and the templars are mixed, some are Catholic, some are Muslim, some neither.

At the beginning of the game Ubisoft clearly stated that the game was developed by a team of varied religious beliefs.

OK, yes he does. There are plenty of references that show Altair is Muslim. There was even an interview where they say they scaled it back, because it would be obvious, and people owuldn't buy it.

The "muslim" templars, if you notice, are shown to be fake Muslims... like the fat dude with all the prostitutes. While the Chrisitan people are supposed to be real Christians.

Yes, this is an OT topic, since it's based on politics, and not really the gameplay itself.

I think it's bad taste to be releasing a game called "Prince of Persia", when we are pretty much at war with Iran. It doesn't make sense that they should be selling kids a game, where you pretty much play a terrorist. You may not do terrorist acts, but you do play a Persian.

It's like if they released a game called "The Reich" during WWII. Do you think that's acceptable?

They should either rename the game or delay it forever. Why not rename anyways? It's a new game?
