My worst purchase must have been Red Faction Guerilla.Not so for the game itself but more for the fact that i bought it full price.A few days later it was on a 75% off sale.LAME
If you were going to buy one of those 2 for a console then i'd tell you to buy RF but since it's for the PC your only option is Prototype.

I don't agree with that. The console versions are capped at 30fps, dropping to 20 when things get hectic. If you have a good quad core pc, definitely get it for pc.
I think u misunderstood what i said.I meant that if he didn't have a pc and had to buy one for consoles then i'd tell him to buy RF.BUT since he is going to buy one of those for the PC then i have to say Prototype cos i had many problems with RF even with a high clocked quad core.Anyway he will enjoy any of them no matter what.:)
I played both and i'd advise you to buy Prototype.It's a fun game and that's all that matters tbh.You won't remember its story or its characters after you've finished it but you're probably going to enjoy it while it lasts.I bought Red Faction full price (damn i still can't believe it) and although i was sure i would love it,i uninstalled it after the first hour.This game might have crazy physics,crazy gameplay,nice gfx etc... but you really can't appreciate all these when you're running it at 10-20 FPS.I have a relatively high end pc and it runs unnacceptably bad.If you pay a visit at the official forums you'll see many pages about bugs and performance issues.Funny thing is developers announced an incoming patch since September and they keep delaying it every 2 weeks or something.If you were going to buy one of those 2 for a console then i'd tell you to buy RF but since it's for the PC your only option is Prototype.
Actually i like it.The chin and the eyes can be a little better but that's just a blemish tbh.I would have preferred one of the two characters to be moved slightly to the right.Either G-MAN or Alyx.I just don't like that she is right below him.Don't know why i just think it would be better to slightly move one of the two.Otherwise i like the darker tone of it.Let's face it Half-life isn't the colourful and "light-hearted"-storywise game it used to be.Familiar faces dying,time is running out for either species to prevail (combine-humans-..who knows what else) so i'd like to see gordon getting more human-ish and a little less superhero..Good job nevertheless.
