i have a 360 and i try to avoid all fps games. As good as you can become with a controller, it doesnt not even come close to aiming with a mouse.

I admit it i hacked my 360 once, and to my surprise , Microsoft removed the ability to install any games on my xbox hard drive, thats not really far from a bricked system , i mean we all know how the older 360 dvd-drives was crap.

I wouldnt say they DESTROYED any hopes of jailbreak... first off they would NEVER go as far as rendering console unuseable, they would probably just ban you off PSN l ike they did with the psp or xbox live, so you can still jailbreak your ps3, never go online with it and be perfectly fine.
