So I just got done reading the cover story, "Battlestation!", in the March issue of EGM. And to get a bit off track, EGM seems to have improved its writing. I used to read EGM many years ago, but stopped because the publication went down hill in my opinion. And since I was an OPM subscriber, I was given a 7 month subscription to EGM for free.
Anyways, back on topic. Incase you haven't read it, EGM did an interview with Sony SECA president and CEO Jack Tretton. And well, through out the entire interview everything that he said appeared very egotistical and "We're better then everyone else and you don't know what your talking about"-ish. And well, it seems to be the attitude that Sony has been carrying since the PS3 launch.
Yes Jack, the Playstation brand has been a good one. But, that doesn't mean that your name alone is going to carry you to the top. And may I say that the Wii has done what the PS2 and PSone has done in getting non-gamers into gaming. Rumble is very important. Oh and one last thing, I know for a fact that my Best Buy has had some PS3s that have been at our store for a week or longer. They are not flying off of store shelves.
As, some of you may know, I've been a Sony fan since I first played a PSX. And when the Xbox came out I was very much so against it. But, to be honest I feel that Sony is not treating its customers and gamers as a whole right. And Microsoft isĀ doing a lot of the right things with gaming (I still don't like Windows).
Sony I need only say this to you. If you wish for me and many others to purchase a PS3 you will do the right thing and listen to us. We have a lot to say. And if you decide that you don't want to listen, then we shall speak with our wallets and spend that $600+ on an Xbox 360 and a Wii.
I still love my PS2 and PSP.
