Actually it is a Massive Single Player Online game. There was a pretty decent article in PC gamer about it this month. Ill sum up what they said MSO means. Pretty much everyone who plays can create new creatures, plantlife, and whatever you please then upload it to the spore database. Then when anyone starts a new planet they can download from the database whatever type of creatures they want to personalize their planet with. Its a pretty nifty concept imo. As far as the gameplay Imma wait for the demo cuz I don't really get the hype myself. Anyone who is interested though should read the article, it gets a lot more in depth about the gameplay mechanics than I did.

Its not generic since it has influenced nearly all future FPS's via only two guns at a time, designated Grenade button, designated melee attack, vehicles outside of WW2 games. Halo 3 offers Forge (real time map editng) and saved movie feature. The battle items are cool, but really just gimmicks.wok7

The map editing and movie feature isn't innovative, it might be new to consoles but PC gamers have been modding and frapping for a while.

I personally don't think halo is that generic, but it definitely didn't revolutionize anything.

For all you people saying you hope its a Diablo MMO, that is what WoW is. Every class has been taken from Diablo and ported to the Warcraft universe and made more accessible for multiplayer. Barbarian=Warrior, Assassin=Rogue, Druid= well umm.....

I am a big WoW fan but Blizzard totally jacked most of their character ideas from Diablo.
