[QUOTE="black_shadow001"][QUOTE="mjfru"]right now they're 350 core clock, and 1Ghz memory clock, also I have a 350W power supply . . . if that has anything to do with itGoldmatter
I have my 6800GT OC'd to 437/1.15 with an Arctic cooler. I recommend getting the arctic cooler before OC'ing your GT. 423/1.15 was the max with the stock cooler and the temp hit 72C under full load.
how far do you back off the last stable Frequency? was urs making artifacts @ 450? and u declocked it down to 437?I am still experiementing with OC'ing my video card. I just got it to 442 with no artifacts and stable
alright cool two questions though
1. how much is an artic cooler?
2. does the power supply have anything to do with it?

I got my Arctic cooler from zipzoomfly for $29.99 free 2nd fedex shipping. Your PSU should be fine
well I have a 6800GT, with P4 2.8 Ghz HT, 1GB Ram, and I was thinking of overclocking it a bit so I can run my games a little smoother. There is this option in the nvidia menu which lets you overclock, I was just wondering how much I should put it up to remain safe and if the "detect optimal performance" setting is a good thing to use?

I used the Detect Optimal Performance and made more adjusts from that point
