Well, it seems that I was lucky enough to pass all of my exams. The results weren't good but at least now I know how much harder I need to work on my courses in the future. I still sometimes question my motivation for being in school even though I realize the importance of obtaining a university degree. On a brighter note, the Golden State Warriors are into the second reound of the NBA playoffs after knocking off the top seeded Dallas Mavericks. I hope they will be able to advance to the Western Conference finals even though they are now down 2 games to nothing in the best of 7 series with the Utah Jazz.

Well, my final exams are coming up real soon. I didn't study enough this semester but I hope I will be able to pass all of my exams. Man, I really need to get my priorities straight. I've spent too much time playing games and surfing the internet. I'm probably going to take some easier courses in the summer because my grades are going to take a beating once the exams are done with.

Well, the final four teams are set. It's going to be #2 UCLA vs #1 Florida in a repeat of last year's national championship game and #1 Ohio State vs #2 Georgetown. Both should be really good games. I can't wait to see how Roy Hibbert will match up against Greg Oden. It's too bad Tennessee wasn't able to upset the Buckeyes but the Vols missed too many free throws which has been a problem for them all year. There were no major upsets along the way so that was pretty disappointing but hopefully these four teams will put on a good show for the fans.

The first round kicks off on the 15th, which is Thursday. There were more than a hundred 20-win teams this year, which meant a lot of good bubble teams did not receive an invitation to the tournament. I hope Florida doesn't win again this year although they are certainly good enough to repeat. I like the South Region's #5 seed, Tennessee. They probably won't make it to the final four but I'm hoping they will at least win a game or two. I wonder who will be this year's Cinderella team?

Yup, so I get the whole of next week off from school. That means I have a total break of 10 days including this weekend, yay. I don't really hate school or anything but this will be a good opportunity to recharge my batteries and catch up on some schoolwork. University is so hectic, there's always so much to do. The event itself does not hold much significance for me even though I'm Asian. I'm not really into superstitions and big celebrations. Does anyone else have school holidays coming up?

I know many people would beg to differ, but I am not very happy with the direction the video game industry is taking. I dislike Halo, Half-Life, GTA and all those other shooting or "adult" games which seem to dominate the market. I don't know, it just seems like there isn't much out there that I find interesting anymore. I think a lot of games today are all style and little substance. Most of the games that I own were released in 2000 or earlier save for the Mario titles and a few others. Another issue that annoys me is how the PSP and DS are siphoning games away that really should be made for the PS2 and GC respectively, that really stinks. I'm sad that the new Spyro and Crash games are nowhere near as good as the older ones because both series had such potential. I still play my old games a lot especially since I'm trying for a world record in CTR. Call me a sentimental old-coot but I'm with old-school all the way. Feel free to tell me what you think. I'd be really interested to know how you guys feel about this.

Well, I just joined a union after receiving an invitation from my friend. It should be fun, even though it's only been a day. I've also written a few game reviews though they're rather messy and disorganized. Gamespot is actually a pretty neat place to hang around although I still mostly post on Gamefaqs because it's more convenient. I'm really looking forward to doing more cool stuff in the future and making a few more friends.

Well, I finally logged onto my Gamespot account a couple of days ago. I didn't know that I could do so because I originally registered with Gamefaqs, pretty dumb huh? Oh well, I'm not sure where to begin. This place looks a lot more complicated than Gamefaqs and it looks like there's a lot of stuff that I am going to have to pick up on. I have been able to make a new friend and I'm glad to have met her on the Gamefaqs message board. Thanks for your message, kamauldi. I've never written a blog before so i'm not really sure if I'm doing this right. I wonder if anyone finds it strange that I would want to spruce up my Gamespot account when i have already established my Gamefaqs account. Does anyone else do this? All right then, i think this is a good place to stop my general rambling and conclude my first blog entry.
