Don't get your hopes up, it's only 60% funded with 8 days to go.

I'm going to try my hardest to reach that goal. I really want this game to come out.

I love survival games, will take a look TC. Have you heard of a game called Don't Starve? It's by Klei Entertainment, the same guys who did Mark of the Ninja, Shank and N+. The game itself isn't realistic, but you can see it has a very nice production (soundtrack, graphics, length, etc.), is open-world and focuses on the issues of survival in the wild: food, shelter, temperature and wildlife.

I have actually. I was going to buy it, but some how I forgot lol. What do you think of it?

You should watch some gameplay videos, they convey the game's idea pretty well. I personally loved it and its Tim Burton-esque art style, and the sandbox gameplay is literally endless. I've only played for 20 or so hours, but I've never felt it become easy. Even when I though things would become easier by shifting from my nomadic lifestyle to proud farm-owner, winter came and I had to go back to hunter/gatherer lifestyle which isn't particularly comfortable or safe :P.

I'll definitely check it out again :). Was also meaning to pick up Mark of the Ninja. Was hoping there would be a vita version but who knows. I'll probably buy it sooner than later.

Watched some gameplay videos. Interesting but needs work. Hopefully turns out to be a gem.FelipeInside

everything isn't finished yet, but they just wanted to send out at least a video of what their project looked like. The finished project will look way better than this.

The long dark

of course the game I'm talking about hasn't come out yet, but this sounds like a survival game that actually involves the real threat of survival. One that involves less focus on killing, and more about knowledge and insight. To me a perfect survival game is open world, non-scripted action that involves plenty of options to tackle a situation, and a very interesting world that makes you feel like you actually need to survive. Minecraft is the only game I can think of that comes close to this. Problem was that the survival aspect wasn't as strong as the creative aspect. Its mostly a crafting game more than anything. If you added a great story to minecraft with a real threat, then it would be not bad for a survival game (depending on the execution). I haven't played Far Cry 3 so I wouldn't know how the survival in that works. But I bet in that game you can just go silly nilly and shoot things without a consequence.

I'm fine with linear survival games (like Last of US), but they just aren't as powerful to me because you are being guided to survive rather than figuring out things for yourself. Plus the games are usually limited in what you can do. I did like that in Last of Us that ammo was scarce and run and gun tactics usually didn't work. Its just that the crafting was limited.

I really like the concept to this game and I hope they can execute it well:

your thoughts?

Yes, much more than people pay attention to. It's not just carrying over major decisions, but minor ones that lead to cameos, messages, dialogue, and pieces of sidequests that wouldn't be there otherwise. The only way to get the full experience is to play 1, 2, and 3 while importing data across the games. There will be a lot of little things that are so organic that you won't even notice it unless if you play it differently, like the part where Tali cautions Shepard about working with Cerberus due to what happened with Admiral Kahoku, which only happens if you take part in a quest for him to find a lost Alliance team. Without spoiling much, it doesn't end well for anyone and hints at Cerberus playing a bigger role in later games, which turned out to be bigger than most expected. Without an import, you're denying yourself the experience you could be having.MAILER_DAEMON

I was worried about that. I didn't know there was much more dialogue either like the example you've just given (and its funny cause I've done both paragon and renegade for that scene and didn't know anything about that). Thank you for your input.

They also kept mentioning how evil Cerberus was so I'm really curious to find out why in Mass Effect 1.

I have Mass Effect 2 for PS3? I played it but felt like I was missing something, so I bought the Mass effect 1 for my Xbox 360 (I just recently borrowed my cousins Xbox so its mine now). I love Mass Effect 1 and I sort of want to import my shepard into Mass effect 2. Would it be worth it to buy the Xbox 360 Version? Does the import have a good impact on Mass Effect 2?

ive heard a lot about the tales games and how good are they....and i can see that the gameplay is really fun but what are the stories like in the games? because for some time now im starting to be VERY interested in story and thats what would keep me playing the game for hours on top of hours....ive really fallen off on my RPGs as of late due to getting older and not having the gametime that i used to so somebody let me know and id be very appreciativeEazy1891

I'd ask someone on gamefaqs on that one. Most of those people imported the Japanese version and played it. It also depends on what your looking for.

I don't mean to sound rude when I ask this but have you played any other tales games before?

its a tales game so its going to be good but one of the best is a bit much to sayelbert_b_23

its only a matter of opinion. Honestly I think its the best, but thats my opinion.

Thats why I typed in "one of the best". That statement holds true no matter what.
