Well, I've decided to take a different approach. I'm going to do nine movies instead of five, and I'm going to shorten my summaries so that they're not so long. I also appreciate the fact that @tntkng and @grunt1096 have decided to do Top 50 Favorite Movies countdowns as well. :D

Yes, it's kind of hard to ignore this movie isn't it? Seeing as it's widely considered to be the greatest movie ever made. Citizen Kane was a big break through in both cinematography and symbolism in films, which are two of my favorite things about movies. It's both a masterpiece and 40th favorite movie of all time.

I'm convinced that this is one of the best ideas for anyone has ever come up with for a movie. I mean think about it, a world where humans and cartoon characters interact and live life together in a film noir setting. I personally think it's a cool idea. Who Framed Roger Rabbit is one of those few movies that's made for kids but is mature enough for adults to enjoy too. It's like a Pixar movie almost.

This is sort of an odd movie for me in terms of lists. Because I consider itto be one of the greatest movies ever made, but it's not that high on my list of favorite movies.I don't know why, it's just always been kind of a weird situation for me. I still love it though, I lovethe acting, the dark tone, andeverything else in the movie, but for some reason it only ranks in at number 38.

Being one of the many life long Beatlesbuffs out there, I've been a fan of this movie since I was in pre-school. Seriously, I've been watching this moviessince I was about fourand I've never gotten tired of it. I love the animation and the visuals, a lot of the humor is actually pretty good, and of course, seeing as it was done by The Beatles, the musical numbers are fantastic. It's one of my oldest favorites and always will be.

This is one of the most suspenseful movies I've ever seen. I've never sweated so much while watching a movie. And I simply adore this movie for that reason. It's one of the most gripping movies ever made, and seeing as it's directed by Alfred Hitchcock, the cinematography just adds to the effect.

Being the complete Pixar dork that I am, it's probably not a big surprise to be seeing one of them on here. However a lot of people seem to be surprised when I say that I think this is one of the best pixar movies. Not that people think it's bad, it's just they seem to think that it's not anywhere near as good as some of the others. But I disagree, Ratatouille is probably the best Pixar movie in terms of visuals and color. I've never seen a movie that looked this appealing in terms of it's color scheme. It's also a pretty creative premise too. What can I say, I thinnk it's one of Pixar's most underrated films, and it easily deserves the title of number 35 on my list.

This one counts for all three of the movies. I find it hard to seperate them from each other and overall I just consider them to be one bigmovie split up into three parts. Lord of the Rings has sort of become the Star Wars of the 21st century. It's highly regarded as oneof the greatestfilm trilogies of all time and has become one of those core parts of geekdom alongside Star Wars and Star Trek. Now granted, I'm not into fantasy at all. I don't play Warcraft or follow stuff with warlocks and knights and dragons and all that kind of stuff. And yet I love Lord of the Rings. It's a great epictrilogy that's just fun to watch no matter how long it is.

The only thing in terms of movies that I obsess over more than Pixaris the Western genre. And High Noon is one of the best. It tells the story of atown marshal who gets married and decides to hang up spurs forgood, when he discovers that one of his oldest enemies is coming to his town to kill him, and he has to decide between his honor as the town marshal or his love for his bride.Just like Rear Window, it'spretty suspenseful, and it has one of the greatestclimaxes of all time.

Well... yeah it feels kind of weird having this in the same segment as High Noon and Citizen Kane, but remember, this is a list of my favorite movies, not the greatest. And being such a big Simpsons fan, I can't help but put this on here. I always laugh nonstop while I'm watching this movie no matter how many times I've seen it. It's not that I feel guilty about having it on here, it just seems awkward having it next to one of the greatest cinematic achievements of all time.

This really is one of the funniest movies I've ever seen. I don't really have anything else to say besides that, just if you haven't seen it, rent it and you won't regret it one bit. It's one of the most enjoyable movie experiences out there.
