Disney took a corporate decision. Image is important, and Gina was, in their opinion (and mine, I may add) undermining their image in the world. Maybe her position is not offensive for you, but to any one who knows what a Nazi is, it is offensive.
"I don't care about laws of course."
Yeah... This makes sense...
"otherwise it's no different than being a slave"
See... This rhetoric makes no sense. She can do whatever she wants, the thing is, until the limits of other person rights. In this situation she made use of her freedom, and Disney did the same thing...
Freedom needs to go both ways. Gina is happy with what she wrote, Disney is happy to not have to worry with her again... Win win situation...
@ad1x2: "the Nazi comparison only makes sense to people that view all of their political opponents as evil."
I don't see no one as evil. I see most of them as stupid. There is a difference. Also I saw Nazi defenders or "stupid" people with Nazi ornamentations defending a guy who was the major Republican representative. Why? because they felt that their views have a protector. That being said, its ironic to see Gina putting herself as in the Jews shoes... Thats my point...
Disney is selling to a lot of places... the US is just one of those places...
"fine people on both sides"
And I did read all... But that quote is really enough, especially if you are telling it to someone who knows what a Nazi is...
@Vaildez: I'm not even US citizen... so that makes my opinion more valid than yours? I'm asking because I assume your reply "I am am independent" was trying to give more value to your position.
@Vaildez: "!compared the Trump administration to the Nazis... How is this any different?"
Well... There are two major differences. The first one is that Trump has the support and also supports Nazi groups. Secondly Pascal was talking about actions that really look as Nazi actions while Gina is talking about being opressed by political reasons and then put herself and her group in the role of Jews... Now think in the first reason and you can see how the second reason becomes even worse...
@Pyrosa: That's also ok... I'm open to any story they want to tell. The story of the games is great, and this one, even if different, certainly will be great too...
@ad1x2: "Pedro Pascal got a pass for comparing 74 million Americans that voted for Trump to Nazis"
Well... at least that is a comparison that makes sense to the rest of the world...
If I recall correctly the ones using Nazi symbols belong to Gina´s side of the equation. Or at least they were defended by the ex president who I believe is a Republican... Crazy times...
@Wraith3: Well... there is an irony that the ones more close to Nazi ideals and who actually were supported by the former president are now claiming to be treated bad by the ones with their own ideology... Yep... Crazy times...
