@yearssomuch Let me get this straight. YOU played games with hijacking and murdering when YOU were 14 therefore MY morals are flawed. Were you 14 only last year by any chance? haha... I didn't play stuff like that when I was 14 so my morals are not flawed, friend.

@RobDev you're being pedantic, friend. Your argument is of the lines that "this is my website so what I say is the law and if you don't like it get out", which is fine but ultimately very immature. I don't get behind scathing personal attacks or the use of irrelevant abuse but my point was that gamespot should not moderate it to the extremes they speak of. It's hypocritical for a person to make money off yours and my opinions and then make money off bashing them as well. This is an audacious attempt to try and alleviate themselves from any sort of responsibility for some of the garbage they put out by pointing to an insignificant bunch of 14-year-olds and saying "ooh they're too mean so I'm going to ban them". Ignore it or address it directly. The opinion doesn't just go away because we deleted the comment. If you want to change a person's opinion or behaviour, shutting it out is not the way to do it. That is exactly what Gamespot is proposing btw. A complete change in behaviour. This was not a plea to be polite on the forums this was a "we should all get along and if not we'll ban you" video. I ultimately do agree with on what thing, if I don't like it I should probably piss off. This is no longer about sharing an opinion after all right?

@yearssomuch So you too, believe a 14-year-old experiencing the "thrill" of torture or even wanting to is completely fine as long as it is on a 3D model within a game world? If you do then I have no further argument with you because our difference in opinion is a moral one.

@RobDev thanks for an utterly pointless reply. I know what the terms and conditions hold. I just don't agree with it. I'm all for weeding out bigots from forums but did you see the 'examples' of abusive comments they put on this video? They were not in the least bit abusive. They were just angry opinions. It's also funny how they turn some of the abusive rants into another show called feedbackula which has a very high viewership and have the audacity to complain about it on a different show. Haha.

Quite preachy. It would've been better just to ignore the idiots who are abusive on the forums. Glad you have resorted to authoritarian tactics because a few 12-year-olds hurt your feelings. Just do your job, which is writing and reporting on games. No one needs a sermon from a Gamespot journalist. You cannot moderate a person's freedom to speak his mind, even if it's irrelevant or angry. Also if you don't like people venting out at some of your ridiculous reviews, it's better to close down your website or deactivate the comments section. You open yourself out to criticism when you put your opinion out there and that is a risk every commenter/reviewer/blogger takes. I can't believe that a reputable website like gamespot has its panties in such a bunch over such an obviously ignorable issue.

@SurfaceNerd please write down your comment somewhere and read it back it ten years. Video games exist for ALL ages so that you can do stuff you can't do in real life like TORTURE?

He can't get into stealth gameplay yet he feels his opinion on a sniper game is valid and gamespot believes it's credible to post a one and a half hour video of him playing a game in the opposite way of which it is supposed to be played. Seriously? He played the game like he was playing CoD. A noob playing CoD at that.

incredibly pointless video. As if to say why aren't epic fantasies written about the average man. BECAUSE THEY'RE AVERAGE!!! there won't be much of a game to play if we had to play a street vendor in Skyrim.
