Atleast it doesn't try to hide shit textures under lighting, bloom, and motion blur.

Lumpy311

what shit textures? from what I played, KZ3 had some of the best textures ever on consoles which cost a lot to run, on top of motion blur, bloom and lighting which is even more expensive to run so I guess Killzone games are just technical masterpieces then. And KZ:SF has it all as well, very expensive post processing

Remove all the lighting, bloom and motion blur that gets in your face while you play KZ SF, and you will see the shit textures.

funny how some games cant even afford lighting, bloom and motion blur. none the less great looking textures

I think you're going a bit too far, but yeah, it's a great game, loved it. Also, it's not MS' fault we won't be getting a sequel, Remedy owns it, and they said they didn't manage to secure the funding to make the sequel the game they want it to be.

Oh, and too bad you're not level 10, means this'll get locked.

exactly M$ wouldnt fund AW2 because part one was funded by M$ but sell up to M$ standards, so they should rather have Remedy try a completely new IP

Nah, MS doesn't own Remedy, or the Alan Wake IP. They're an independant studio, else, we would never get AW games on the PC. They only had an exclusivity contract with MS, and I believe they're doing it again with Quantum Break, should pop up on the PC when the contract expires.

And here are more details on why we won't be seeing AW2 for a while:

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2013-05-23-remedy-on-why-alan-wake-2-isnt-happening-right-now

exactly, timed exclusive contract with M$ is how they get their funding. and M$ refuses to sign the cotract if it's just another Alan Wake game so Remedy had no choice but the contract them with a new IP.

Finally a game that does things other games havent, just to bad M$ decided to squash any chance of a sequel. -Atmosphere: possibly the best wooded, pine forest setting ever in the history of gaming. Nailed it right on, so beautiful with atmospheric fog, autumn colors, lighting and artistic motion blur. And at night, it really looks like its night time....not just dark blue like most other games attempt. The wind can be heard blowing each individual leaf, each footstep from the enemy can be heard, the attention to detail is amazing -Graphics: probably the first ever game on console with 100% real time volumetric lighting, I dont know if it's global illumination or not, but on PC whoah. And just the art direction in general and the detail of a forest never seen before in any games. Probably the best looking water of its time -Story: I felt like I was playing a TV show how each chapter ending on a high note, I just couldnt wait to find out what happens next. I thought Remedy completely demolished the Uncharted series in this category. Luckily The Last of us brought ND back out of the dark. The ending was such a cliff hanger to bad part 2 is almost comfirmed to be history -Music: one of the Best and most fitting music I've ever heard in a video game. Each chapter ends with such fitting music and they're from bands that arent so popular. I especially love the Radio how everything is broad casted up to date as you're playing along. and how some music comes on the radio that perfectly fits the combat. -Gameplay: this game got my heart pumping more than any resident evil current gen games. Probably the first game ever to correctly use Flashlight + Gun combination. And the check point system were so tense. I loved how batteries needed to be recharged and I loved the mini upgrade system which reminded of the greats like RE4. Or Iove how some parts of the game forced you up against enemies without your flashlight Alan Wake in my opinion is the most refreshing, unique, and artistic game of this generation

not a fan of the new art direction they've taken. Loads of unnatural lens flare, the brutal melee is exactly the same copy and pasted from Killzone 3. The forest looks plastic and not lively like Alan Wake forest. Still gonna get the game but I feel like GG could've taken a better art direction especially with all the power they have on hands
