@noprisonerz @bluefox755 what we have in the US now isn't capitalism, it's cronyism, there's a natural balance in the free market that is now completely disrupted by the government.
@noprisonerz @bluefox755 Politicians are elected, they have a choice to be bribed or not, if the government wasn't involved in banks and corporations with excessive regulations, then these evil banks and corps wouldn't have any need to spend millions on lobbyists bribing politicians to sway legislation in their favor. Banks and corps are just playing by the rules the fed put in place. Your argument implies that politicians aren't at fault because they were bribed, I would argue they are at fault because not only do they accept the bribes, they created conditions in which the banks corps NEED to lobby politicians to survive, because if they stand on principle and NOT do it, they go out of business. Banks and corps can't print money like the fed.
@de-astroturfer @bluefox755 I trust a private corporation until it has any ties to government, because it's in the company's best interest to take care of the customer. When the government gets involved, they have to play by their set of rules, and get involved with politics just to survive.
@de-astroturfer no one knows for sure, that's the problem. American public has such a short attention span they've already lost interest in the NSA collecting data from Americans.
Used to be you could trust private companies with your personal data...well, at least more than the government. Now we know private corps willingly hand over personal data to the government.
