Remember what they said about the original Kinect? It's capabilities were hugely exaggerated, not making that mistake again. I think the very reason we haven't seen much of the new kinect is because it's just as unreliable and unresponsive as the old one. If it was as good as they say it is, it would stand on it's own and they wouldn't have to force it into the box because people would inevitably buy something that groundbreaking in droves. Not getting duped again MS.

As of late MS has given me no reason at all to trust a word they say, quite the contrary actually. MS just isn't the same company it used to be, perhaps if they start at least pretending like they care about their customers I'll consider them some time in the future.

@red_city @bluefox755 That all makes sense except for one thing, I could be wrong, but I don't think the majority of consumers are willing to pay more than 400 or 500 dollars on a gaming machine. Bleeding edge gaming tech is cool, don't get me wrong, but it's certainly not mainstream, and the reason for that I think is it's very expensive.

Let's be honest here, people who buy overkill elistist PCs do it for the same reason that people with jobs that require no manual labor drive large pickup trucks.

So if I'm to understand this correctly, Steam is simply making a line of PCs? With a weird looking controller and a free OS. I think it'd be great if there was more than just DirectX in the market, but I don't see OpenGL knocking MS off it's throne, especially when you can more than likely build a much cheaper PC, which practically anyone can do these days.

If they're not eating some of the cost like consoles do, this is just pointless.

Unless they're gonna take a big loss, I'll pass. If they do take a loss, they are just inviting hackers.
